iv ABSTRACT STUDY ABOUT BALANCE SCORECARD BASED STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN AL KAUTSAR FOUNDATION LAMPUNG By Dewi Fortiana The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the balanced scorecard (BSC) in a non-profit organization's strategic planning, which is the strategic management of Al Kautsar Foundation. The research method is a descriptive qualitative case study approach. The informants are from the management of Al Kautsar Foundation. The techniques of collecting data used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was guided by an interactive model of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The research result is Strategy Map of Al Kautsar Foundation built by 11 strategic objectives with 34 key performance indicators (KPIs) that result from the translation of the vision, mission and goals into four perspectives of BSC, two strategic objectives in the perspective of the customer with seven KPIs, three strategic objectives in the perspective of internal processes with eight KPIs, four strategic objectives in the perspective of growth and learning with 16 KPIs, as well as two strategic objectives in the financial perspective with three KPIs. The challenges faced in the implementation of the BSC is still the existence of communication barriers and preparing the management to change the way of looking at success. Keywords: balanced scorecard and strategic management. v ABSTRAK STUDI TENTANG MANAJEMEN STRATEGIK BERBASIS BALANCED SCORECARD DI YAYASAN AL KAUTSAR LAMPUNG Oleh Dewi Fortiana Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penerapan balanced scorecard (BSC) dalam perencanaan strategik organisasi nirlaba, yaitu pada manajemen strategik Yayasan Al Kautsar. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dengan informan jajaran manajemen di Yayasan Al Kautsar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data berpedoman pada model analisis interaktif yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah peta strategi Yayasan Al Kautsar dibangun oleh 11 sasaran strategik dengan 34 indikator kinerja utama (IKU) yang merupakan hasil dari penerjemahan visi, misi dan tujuan ke dalam empat prespektif BSC, 2 sasaran strategik dalam prespektif pelanggan dengan 7 IKU, 3 sasaran strategik dalam prespektif proses internal dengan 8 IKU, 4 sasaran strategik dalam prespektif pertumbuhan dan pembelajaran dengan 16 IKU, serta 2 sasaran strategik dalam prespektif keuangan dengan 3 IKU. Adapun tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan BSC adalah masih adanya hambatan komunikasi serta mempersiapkan jajaran manajemen untuk mengubah cara pandang dalam melihat keberhasilan. Kata Kunci : balanced scorecard dan manajemen strategik.
