Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to describe the students’ engagement during the process of teaching vocabulary through video. The method of this research was a qualitative research. Observation sheet was used as the instrument of eliciting the data. The subjects of this research were 30 students of II-A class in SD Immanuel Bandar Lampung. The results of the study showed that most of the students were actively engaged in affective engagement as they enthusiastically joined the teaching learning activities through video. The students’ cognitive engagement was actively stimulated as most of the students easily understand the meaning, pronunciation, and use of the words. Most of them were also actively engaged in behavioral engagement as they did all of the activities instructed by the teacher. This indicates that the use of video in teaching vocabulary is regarded as being effective to encourage students to be involved in the process of teaching learning activities.
