Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

ABSTRAK Perpustakaan Universitas Lampung (Unila) sudah menggunakan sistem otomasi perpustakaan berbasis SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System). SLiMS adalah perangkat lunak sistem perpustakaan sumber terbuka, berbasis web, multi platform dan gratis. SLiMS yang digunakan Unila belum memiliki sistem informasi usulan buku baru. Selama ini proses usulan buku baru dilakukan dengan cara membuat daftar buku yang didistribusikan melalui CD berisi katalog buku. CD tersebut akan diterima oleh pihak fakultas dan proses pengajuannya menggunakan pengisian form. Proses ini menjadi lama disebabkan proses berbasis kertas serta belum menggunakan teknologi informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membangun Sistem Usulan Buku Baru untuk Perpustakaan Unila yang memanfaatkan basis data SLiMS. Dan mengimplementasikan Sistem Informasi Usulan Buku Baru di perpustakaan Unila. Metode RAD (Rapid Application Development) digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Tahapan RAD yaitu identifikasi sasaran dan informasi kebutuhan, bekerja sama sekaligus berinteraksi dengan pengguna untuk desain sistem, membangun sistem dan terakhir implementasi sistem. Semua tahapan ini dilakukan dalam iterasi waktu antara 60 – 90 hari. Semua fitur yang terdapat didalam Sistem Usulan Buku Baru ini telah melewati tahapan revisi melalui uji coba terhadap pengguna. Sistem informasi yang dibangun, dapat berinteraksi dengan database SLiMS untuk mengakses data user dan data bibliography yang terdaftar dalam database SLiMS di perpustakaan Unila. Sehingga pengelolaan User dilakukan oleh SLiMS dan informasi buku yang telah tersedia dapat disajikan dan digunakan oleh sistem usulan buku baru. Kata kunci : Usulan, Buku, SLiMS, Otomasi, Perpustakaan ABSTRACT Lampung University (Unila) library is using library automatic system based SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System). SLiMS is a library software system which open source, web-based, multi-platform and free. SLiMS didn’t have feature for new books suggestion. Processing new book suggestion carried out by making a list that we are distributed via CD contains catalog of books. Those CD received by the faculty. Submission process done by form filling. The process took a long time due to paper based process and not using information technology. The purpose of this research is to develop the New Books Suggestion System for Unila Library that utilize SLiMS database. And, implement New Books Suggestion Information System in the Unila library. RAD (Rapid Application Development) Method will be used for the research method. Stages of RAD target identification and information needs, work together and interact with users to design the system, build system and last, system implementation. All stages will be done with iteration between 60-90 days. All the features contained in this New Books Suggestion have gone through stages of revision from trial with the user. Information system built, can interact with the SLiMS database to access user data and bibliographiy data. Thefore, user managemen by slims and available books data ini library can be presented and used by new book suggestion system. Keywords: Proposal, Book, SLiMS, Automatic, Library
