Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

ABSTRAK Pelaksanaan pemilihan Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Kota Bandar Lampung serentak pertama diikuti dengan pencalonannya sosok yang berpengaruh terhadap etnis Tionghoa. Etnis Tionghoa menaruh harapan besar dengan keikutsertaan Hartato Loh Jaya dalam kompetisi politik lokal akan membawa dampak yang baik bagi kesejahteraan etnis Tionghoa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dan intensitas partisipasi etnis Tionghoa Kecamatan Teluk Betung Timur dalam pemilihan Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Bandar Lampunt Tahun 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif tentang perilaku dengan menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 93 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam peneitian ini Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat etnis Tionghoa yang terbagi dalam 2 bentuk partisipasi politik yakni pertama, bentuk partisipasi konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata 2,16 yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan indikator yang lebih dominan adalah komunikasi individual dengan pejabat politik dalam urusan administratif. Kedua, bentuk partisipasi non-konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata 1,36 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah, artinya di dalam bentuk partisipasi ini masyarakat etnis Tionghoa tidak memiliki rasa ketertarikan untuk ikut serta/berpartisipasi dalam segala jenis bentuk partisipasi non-konvensional. Sedangkan intensitas partisipasi etnis Tionghoa memiliki nilai rata-rata 1,90 masuk dalam kategori rendah dengan indikator yang lebih dominan pada tingkat pengamat. Kata Kunci : Partisipasi, Masyarakat Etnis Tionghoa, Pemilihan Walikota dan Wakil Walikota ABSTRACT This research was aimed to recognize how the shape and intensity of the political participation of Chinese ethnic in Sub-District of East Teluk Betung in the Major and Vice Major Election of Bandar Lampung in 2015. Approaching method that has been used in this research is analytical-quantitative with descriptive approaching. The population is peop le in in Sub-District of East Teluk Betung amounted to 1,290 people with a sample of 93 people. The results showed that the participation of ethnic Chinese who shared in the conventional form with an average score of 2.85 (low conventional participation category), and non-conventional with an average score of 3.85 (the category of non-conventional participation is very low). This shows the absence of political participation of ethnic Chinese in some aspects. Participation appear only on individual aspects of communication with political officials in administrative matters. The intensity of the of Chinese ethnic in sub-district of East Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung, in the form of observational political phenomenon, generally categorized as high with the resulting average of 3.06. Based on the recapitulation of respondents to the political participation of ethnic Chinese in the election of Mayor and Vice Mayor of the majority respondents stated the candidate only imaging to gain power. In addition, participation in political affairs was considered will just be wasting their time. Not to mention the aspirations of the Chinese community who were not heard, as well as financial losses they experienced in the former government, so that, in the end they do not want to be directly involved in the election of Mayor and Vice Mayor.
