Abstract

ABSTRAK Internet merupakan media komunikasi dan informasi modern yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara global oleh pengguna diseluruh dunia dalam interkoneksi antar jaringan komputer yang terbentuk melalui sarana berupa penyedia akses (provider) internet, sehingga internet sebagai media informasi dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif dan efisien untuk melakukan pertukaran dan penyebaran informasi. Dimana website seperti www.digilibunila.ac.id ini yang merupakan website yang memberikan informasi mengenai skripsi maupun tesis. Sehingga kebutuhan informasi mengenai skripsi dapat diwujudkan oleh website digital library Universitas Lampung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan website www.digilib.unila.ac.id terhadap kepuasan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mengenai skripsi. Penelitian ini merupakan tipe penelitian melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey. populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Ilmu Komunikasi 2012 FISIP Universitas Lampung. Dan hasil penelitian kuantitatif mengenaii besarnya pengaruh penggunaan website www.digilib.unila.ac.id terhadap kepuasan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mengenai skripsi adalah sebesar 34,8% (Thit 5,313 > Ttab 2,0057) artinya berpengaruh signifikan. Kata Kunci : Internet, Digilib, Kebutuhan Informasi ABSTRACT Internet is a medium of communication and modern information which can be used globally by users around the world in the interconnection between computer networks that are formed by means such as access providers (providers) Internet, so the Internet as an information medium can be an effective and efficient for the exchange and dissemination information. Www.digilibunila.ac.id where websites like these is a website that provides information on paper or thesis. So the need for information concerning the thesis can be realized by the digital library website Lampung University. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the use of websites www.digilib.unila.ac.id to satisfaction in fulfilling the need for information on the thesis. This research is a type of research with a quantitative approach using a survey method. This study population is a student of Faculty of Social Science Communication 2012 University of Lampung. And the results of quantitative research on the effect of the use of the website digilib.unila.ac.id to satisfaction in fulfilling the need for information on the thesis amounted to 34.8% (Thit 5.313> 2.0057 Ttab) means a significant effect.
