Abstrak

Reasoning is one of math skills that very closely with math itself. The one should note by teacher in developing student’s reasoning ability are teaching materials. Therefore, this study aimed to develop the valid, practical, and effective mathematical teaching materials terms of student’s reasoning abilities. The type of this study is research and development (R&D). The research procedure used development models ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Imple-mentation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were 32 students of class X MIA, MA Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah. The instrument of this study consist of interview guided, validation sheet of teaching materials, questionnaire of student responses, and instrument of reasoning abilities. The results of this research and development were (1) the validity of teaching materials terms from aspects of the material has shown the very good criteria (3.77 of 4.00) and aspects of the media has shown the good criteria (3.00 of 4.00), (2) the practically of teaching materials terms of student responses has shown the good criteria (3,11 of 4.00), and (3) the efectiveness of teaching materials terms of students' reasoning abilities has shown the good criteria (71.88%.). Keyword: teaching materials, reasoning ability, STAD Penalaran merupakan salah satu keterampilan matematika yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan karakteristik matematika itu sendiri. Salah satu hal yang harus diperhatikan guru dalam mengembangkan penalaran siswa adalah bahan ajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika yang valid, praktis, dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research and development (R&D). Prosedur penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas X MIA, MA Bustanul Ulum Lampung Tengah. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri atas pedoman wawancara, lembar validasi bahan ajar, angket respon siswa, dan instrumen kemampuan penalaran. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah (1) validitas bahan ajar memenuhi kriteria valid ditinjau dari penilaian aspek materi memenuhi kriteria sangat baik (3,77 dari skor maksimal 4,00) dan aspek media memenuhi kriteria baik (3,00 dari skor maksimal 4,00), (2) Kepraktisan bahan ajar memenuhi kriteria praktis ditinjau dari respon siswa memenuhi kriteria baik (3,11 dari skor maksimal 4,00), dan (3) efektivitas bahan ajar ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran siswa memenuhi kriteria baik (71,88%).
