Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Komunikasi antarpribadi dalam keluarga yang terjalin antara orang tua dan anak merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam menentukan perkembangan individu. Setiap keluarga, setiap orang tua tentunya memiliki cara mendidik dan mengasuh dengan gaya yang berbeda-beda. Orang tua memiliki pola asuh sendiri untuk anaknya. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi dan hubungan interpersonal antara single parent dan anaknya di SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 3 keluarga single parent yang ada di SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pada informan I dan informan II memiliki hubungan interpersonal yang dekat. Hal ini dikarenakan lokasi bekerja sang ibu yang masih di lingkungan sekolah anak nya. Pada informan III dan informan IV hubungan interpersonal antara keduanya terlihat kurang baik dikarenakan kesibukan pekerjaan sang ibu yang bekerja sebagai guru dan lokasi kerja yang jauh dari rumah. Sedangkan pada informan V dan informan VI hubungan interpersonal cukup baik namun keluarga ini komunikasi nya jarang terjalin dikarenakan sang ibu yang sibuk mencari nafkah berjualan di pasar sehingga sang anak jarang terpantau. Kata kunci: keluarga single parent, pola komunikasi, hubungan interpersonal Interpersonal communication within the family that exists between parents and children is an important factor in determining the development of the individual. In every family, every parent must have a way to educate and nurture the children with different styles. Parents have their own upbringing for their children. The purpose of this study was to describe patterns of communication and interpersonal relationship between single parent mothers and the children in SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Informants in this study are 3 single parent families in SMP Negeri 7 Kotabumi. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The results show that the informant I and informant II have close interpersonal relationships. This is because the mother worked at the same school with the children. The relationship between the informant III and informant IV was not very good due to busy work of the mother, who worked as a teacher and the location was away from home. While the relationship between the informant V and the informant is quite good but the communication among them was not very good because the mother was busy making a living fot the family so that the children rarely observed.
