Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji motivasi yang lebih dominan antara motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap tingkat prestasi belajar mahasiswa jurusan Sosiologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung serta mengkaji perbedaan yang signifikan dari kedua motivasi tersebut. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penarikan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling rumus Slovin. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 92 responden, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah tabel silang dan Chi-square. Hasil tabel silang menyatakan bahwa motivasi intrinsik merupakan variabel yang dominan karena motivasi intrinsik memperoleh angka paling tinggi sebanyak 69 responden (0,75) dan selebihnya mahasiswa memiliki motivasi ekstrinsik sebanyak 23 responden (0,25). Sedangkan dari hasil uji chi-square dengan nilai chi-square tabel menggunakan df 4 yakni 9,488 diketahui bahwa nilai motivasi intrinsik sebesar 8,302 dan ekstrinsik sebesar 1,742. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa chi-square hitung < chi-square tabel. Dapat dikatakan mahasiswa tidak memiliki perbedaan motivasi dikarenakan kedua motivasi dalam tingkatan yang tidak jauh berbeda. Jadi hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada motivasi yang lebih dominan antara motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik terhadap tingkat prestasi belajar mahasiswa jurusan Sosiologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung serta tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari kedua motivasi tersebut. Kata Kunci: motivasi ekstrinsik, motivasi intrinsik, prestasi belajar ABSTRACT The aim of this study were to assess the more dominant motivation between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on the level of achievement of students majoring in Sociology Faculty of Social and Political Sciences University of Lampung and to find the significant differences of both those motivation. The type of this research was descriptive quantitative and to collect the sample was applied purposive sampling method Slovin formula. The data collection techniques in this research was applied by distributing questionnaires to 92 respondents, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used cross tables and Chi-square. The results of the cross table was stated that intrinsic motivation was the dominant variable because intrinsic motivation obtained the highest number in 69 respondents (0.75) and the rest of the students have extrinsic motivation as much as 23 respondents (0.25). While the results of the chi-square test with chi-square value tables used df 4 is 9.488, was known that the value of intrinsic was 8.302 and extrinsic was 1.742. It showed that the chi-square count < chi-square tables. It can be concluded that students do not have a difference of motivation due to intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in the levels that were not much different. So, the results of this research showed that there was more dominant motivation between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on the level of achievement of students majoring in Sociology Faculty of Social and Political Sciences University of Lampung and there was no significant differences from both the motivation.
