Abstrak

Kemampuan menulis teks peserta didik kelas VII D SMP Negeri 1 Tumijajar tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) model project based learning (PBL); pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengunakan model PBL pada kompetensi menulis teks; penilaian aktivitas pembelajaran dan hasil menulis teks peserta didik; peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks mengunakan PBL. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus pada paserta didik kelas VII D di SMP Negeri 1 Tumijajar. Siklus I penerapan model PBL kurang maksimal dilaksanakan. Perbaikan pada siklus II dimaksimalkan dengan memperbaiki perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil observasi dan refleksi kolaborator penelitian. Perbaikan pada siklus III dimaksimalkan pelaksanaan dan observasi kolaborator penelitian. Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman penskoran berdasarkan menulis teks sertas panduan observasi proses pembelajaran yang meliputi lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru (APKG) dan peserta didik. Hasil peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks dikelas VII D SMP Negeri 1Tumijajar yang menerapkan model PBL mengalami peningkatan dari prasiklus, siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III. Pada prasiklus peserta didik memperoleh nilai rata-rata 66,57 dan peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 12,50%, siklus I nilai rata-rata 73,57 dan peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 18,75%, siklus II nilai rata-rata 80,28 dan peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 25%, siklus III nilai rata-rata 89,89 dan peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 84,38%. Kata kunci: model Project Based Learning (PBL), menulis teks. ABSTRACT Writing skill of the students in class VII D SMP Negeri I Tumijajar is not good. This research aimed to desribe the lesson plan of Project Based Learning (PBL); Learning process using PBL in writing text competence; assessing the learning activity and the students result of writing text; the improvement of writing skill using PBL. This research was classroom Action Research which done in three cycles at the students of class VII D in SMP Negeri I Tumijajar. At the cycles I, the implementation of PBL was not maximum. The improvement at cycles II was fixed by upgrading the planning and the process in learning based on the result of the observation and the reflection of the research collaborator. The improvement at cycle III was fixed by upgrading the process and the observation on of the research collaborator. The research instruments were scoring guide based on writing text and also observation guide of the learning process which includeobservation sheet of teacher’s activity (APKG) and student’s activity. The result of improving writing skill of the students in class VII D SMP Negeri I Tumijajar which implementing PBL was improved from precycle, cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III. At the prcycle, the mean of the student’s score was 66,57 and the percentage of studentswho passed the KKM were 12,50%, the mean of the student’s score at the cycle I was 73,57 and the percentage of the students who passed the KKM was 18,75%, at the cycle II, the mean of the student’s score was 80,28% and the percentage of the students who passed the KKM were 25%, at the cycle III the mean of the student’s score was 89,89 and the percentage of the students who passed the KKM were 84, 38%.
