ABSTRAK PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PRODUK PADA SURAT KABAR LAMPUNG POST Oleh : Shofa Ulfitriah Lampung Post se bagai surat kabar harian tertua di Lampung selalu menjaga kualitas produk koran untuk menjaga loyalitas pelanggan, tetapi dalam proses produ ksi masih terdapat banyak produk koran yang rusak karena pengendalian kualitas yang dilakukan belum maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi jenis kerusakan yang paling dominan yang terjadi pada produk Surat Kabar Harian Lampung Post, m eng i dentifikasi apakah tingkat kerusakan yang terjadi pada produk Surat Kabar Harian Lampung Post masih dalam batas toleransi atau tidak dan menganalisis faktor - faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan paling dominan pada produk Surat Kabar Harian Lampung Post. Pada penelitian ini, metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode Statistical Process Control dengan lima alat bantu yaitu ; check sheet , histogram, peta kendali, diagram pareto, dan diagram sebab akibat. Check sheet menu n jukkan bahwa kerusakan produk ko ran berupa tidak register, koran terpotong, warna kabur, dan koran kotor , h asil analisis peta kendali p menunjukkan bahwa proses berada dalam keadaan tidak terkendali atau masih mengalami penyimpangan. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada grafik kendali dimana titik berfluktuasi sangat tinggi dan tidak beraturan, serta banyak yang keluar dari batas kendali. Berdasarkan diagram pareto, prioritas perbaikan untuk kerusakan paling dominan yaitu tidak register (45%), koran terpotong (20%), warna kabur (18%), dan koran kot or (17%). Berdasarkan digram sebab - akibat, faktor - faktor yang mempengaruhi dan menjadi penyebab kerusakan produk adalah manusia, mesin, lingkungan, metode, dan material . Pengendalian kualitas produk pada Surat Kabar Harian Lampung Post masih belum ma ksimal. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada control chart yang memperlihatkan bahwa proses produksi berada dalam keadaan tidak terkendali atau masih mengalami penyimpangan. F ak tor - faktor penyebab penyimpangan diidentifikasi dan diberikan usulan perbaikan untuk menjad i sumbangan pemikiran bagi perbaikan kualitas pada perusahaan Lampung Post khususnya bagian produksi. Kata kunci : kualitas, statistical process control , surat kabar. ABSTRACT PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL IN LAMPUNG POST DAILY NEWSPAPER By : Sh ofa Ulfitriah L ampung Post as the oldest daily newspaper in Lampung always maintain the quality of newspaper products to maintain customer loyalty, but in the production process there are still many newspaper products that are damaged because the q uality control is not maximal. This study aims to identify newspaper deffect types, to identify whether the level of damage that occurs in Lampung Post Daily Newspaper products is within the lim its of tolerance or not and to analyze the factors that cause the most dominant damage to Lampung Post Daily Newspaper products. In this research, the method of analysis used is Statistical Process Control method with five tools that is; Check sheets, histograms, control charts, pareto diagrams , and cause and effect diagrams . The results of the check sheet, obtained by the newspaper defect types is unregister, cut, blurred color, and dirty, result of p control indicates that the process is in an uncontrolled condition or is still deviated. This can be seen in t he control charts where the points fluctuate very high and irregular, and many are out of control limits. Based on the pareto diagram, the priority fixes for the most dominant damage are un register (4 5%), cut (20%), blurred c olor (18%), and dirty (17%). Base d on the cause - effect digram, the factors that influence and cause the product damage are human, machine, environment, method, and material. P roduct quality control in Lampung Post Daily Newspaper still not maximal. This is shown in the control chart showing that the production process is in uncontrolled condition. Factors causing irregularities are identified and proposed improvements to be thought - contribution for quality improvement at the Lampung Post company.
