Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Etnik Lampung hidup berdampingan dengan etnik Bali di Kecamatan Sidomuyo Lampung Selatan, dan terdapat perbedaan kebudayaan di antara kedua etnik, perbedaan tersebut yang menyebabkan timbulnya pengaruh etnosentrisme dan stereotip terhadap komunikasi antarbudaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh etnosentrisme dan stereotip yang terjadi antara etnik Lampung terhadap etnik Bali di Sidomulyo Lampung selatan. Tipe penelitian ini menggunakan tipe kuantitatif. Terdapat tiga variabel yang diteliti yaitu variabel etnosentrisme (X1), stereotip (X2), dan komunikasi antar budaya (Y). Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu teori sistem A-B-X Newcomb dan teori pengelolaan kecemasan/ketidakpastian. Data yang diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner kepada 100 responden dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik analisi jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa variabel etnosentrisme mempengaruhi komunikasi antarbudaya etnik Lampung terhadap Bali sebesar 0,175 atau 17,5% sedangkan variabel stereotip mempengaruhi komunikasi antarbudaya sebesar 0,20 atau 20%. Selanjutnya besarnya pengaruh variabel etnosentrisme dan stereotip yang secara langsung berpengaruh terhadap komunikasi antarbudaya adalah 0,133 atau 13,3%. dan sisanya 49,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak menjadi bagian dalam penelitian ini. This study aims to analyze about whether there is influence of ethnocentrism and stereotypes that occur between ethnic Lampung against ethnic Bali in Sidomulyo south Lampung. This type of research uses a quantitative type. There are three variables studied are the variables ethnocentrism (X1), stereotypes (X2), and intercultural communication (Y). Theories tested in this research are Newcomb A-B-X system theory and theory of management of anxiety/uncertainty. Data obtained from questionnaires that distributed to 100 respondents and analyzed with statistical analysis of path analysis. Based on the analysis result shows that the variables of ethnocentrism affect the communication between ethnic culture of Lampung towards Bali of 17.5% while stereotyped variables affect intercultural communication of 20%. Furthermore, the influence of variables ethnocentrism and stereotypes that directly affect the intercultural communication is 13,3%. and the remaining 49.2% is influenced by other variables that are not part of this research.
