Every child shall have the right to be able to live, grow, develop, and participate naturally in accordance with the dignity and dignity of humanity, and be protected from violence and discrimination. Unfortunately acts of violence that occur in children in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province continues to increase every year. Given the ongoing child violence that tends to increase, the government should continuously strive to improve performance in providing protection to children and government agencies at the local level that handle women's empowerment and child protection issues. The Office of Women Empowerment and Child Protection is established in order to assist the Governor in to improve community welfare, by formulating child protection strategies through protection measures. The purpose of this research is to know, understand and analyze the performance of Department of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of Lampung Province in alleviating child abuse case. The research method using qualitative approach, the type of data used is the primary and secondary data in which data collection using documentation and interview techniques. In general, the results of the study indicate that through the prevention program the PPPA Office has not been successful in reducing the number of cases of violence against children. Then in the handling program even though the PPPA Office reached the target in handling all cases of violence against children in Lampung Province that started but the handling efforts are still not maximal due to various factors such as limited human resources PPPA Office, budget constraints, facilities and infrastructure and the location of victims far . The high rate of child abuse in Lampung Province indicates the failure of the PPPA Office in preventing the occurrence of violence against children so that more efforts are needed in the prevention program. Keywords: Performance, Protection, Child Violence. ABSTRAK 1526021024 Tindakan kekerasan yang terjadi pada anak di Indonesia, khususnya di Provinsi Lampung terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu selayaknya Pemerintah Provbinsi Lampung melalui Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak harus terus berupaya meningkatkan kinerja dalam memberikan perlindungan terhadap anak dengan merumuskan strategi perlindungan anak melalui upaya-upaya pemberian perlindungan. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, memahami dan menganalisis kinerja Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Provinsi Lampung dalam pengentasan kasus kekerasan anak di bawah umur. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder di mana pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan wawancara.Secara umum hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui program pencegahan Dinas PPPA secara umum belum berhasil menekan jumlah kasus kekerasan terhadap anak. Kemudian dalam program penanganan walaupun Dinas PPPA mencapai target dalam penanganan seluruh kasus kekerasan terhadap anak di Provinsi Lampung yang dimulai namun upaya penanganannya masih belum maksimal disebabkan berbagai faktor penyebab seperti keterbatasan SDM Dinas PPPA, keterbatasan anggaran, sarana dan prasarana serta lokasi korban yang berjauh-jauhan. Tingginya angka kekerasan anak di Provinsi Lampung menunjukkan adanya kegagalan Dinas PPPA dalam program pencegahan terjadinya kekerasan terhadap anak sehingga perlu upaya yang lebih maksimal dalam program pencegahannya. Kata Kunci: Kinerja, Perlindungan, Kekerasan Anak.
