Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Latar Belakang: Anemia merupakan komplikasi yang umum terjadi pada pasien Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), prevalensinya terus meningkat dari 8,4% pada stadium 1 hingga 53,4% pada stadium 5. Penyebab utama anemia pada CKD yaitu penurunan sintesis hormon eritropoietin oleh sel intersititial peritubular ginjal, selain itu juga disebabkan oleh keadaan inflamasi, pemendekan waktu hidup eritrosit, defisiensi besi, kehilangan darah pada saat dialisis, dan pengaruh uremia. Anemia pada CKD perlu tatalaksana khusus yaitu pemberian terapi eritropoietin (EPO). Pemberian EPO dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup pasien. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah analitik komparatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional terhadap 26 pasien End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) yang menjalani hemodialisis. Data yang diambil berupa data primer yaitu darah pasien sebelum terapi EPO dan dua minggu setelah terapi EPO yang diberikan oleh dokter spesialis penyakit dalam di RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung. Terdapat dua variabel penelitian yaitu pasien ESRD yang mendapat terapi EPO serta kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan setelah mendapat terapi EPO. Hasil Penelitian: Rerata kadar hemoglobin pre terapi EPO yaitu 8,1 gr/dl dan rerata kadar hemoglobin post terapi EPO yaitu 8,7 gr/dl. Hasil uji T-berpasangan kadar hemoglobin pre dan post terapi EPO didapati nilai p yaitu 0,001 (p < 0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan setelah mendapat terapi EPO. Anemia is a common complication of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients, whose prevalence continues to increase from 8.4% in stage 1 to 53.4% in stage 5. The main cause of anemia in CKD is decreased synthesis of erythropoietin hormone by peritubular interstitial cell in kidney, and it is also caused by inflammation, shortening of erythrocyte life span, iron deficiency, blood loss during dialysis, and uremia effect. Anemia in CKD needs special treatment that is erythropoietin (EPO) therapy. EPO administration is considered effective in increasing hemoglobin levels and improving patient’s quality of life. Methods: The design of this study is comparative analytic with cross sectional approach to 26 ESRD patients undergoing hemodialysis. The data were taken in the form of primary data that are patient’s blood before EPO therapy and two weeks after EPO therapy which is given by an internist in RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung. There are two research variables: ESRD patients receiving EPO therapy and hemoglobin levels before and after EPO therapy. Result: The mean hemoglobin level pre EPO therapy is 8.1 g/dl and mean hemoglobin level post-EPO therapy is 8.7 g/dl. Paired T-test result of hemoglobin levels difference is p = 0.001 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant difference between hemoglobin levels before and after EPO therapy. Keywords: Anemia, Erytrhopoietin, ESRD, Hemoglobin
