Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Ikan kakap merah adalah jenis ikan laut yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan banyak digemari oleh masyarakat untuk dikonsumsi atau diekspor. Tingginya permintaan pasar yang menuntut kontinuitas produksi ikan kakap merah. Dalam usaha budidaya ikan, pakan merupakan salah satu faktor utama. Harga pakan ikan kakap mengalami kenaikan setiap tahunnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan bahan bakunya yang memiliki harga tinggi sehingga untuk menekan harga pakan dipilih tepung kulit rajungan sebagai sumber protein dan mineral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung kulit rajungan dalam pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan kakap merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2017 di Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BBPBL) Lampung. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yaitu A (proporsi tepung kulit rajungan 0%), B (proporsi tepung kulit rajungan 5%), C (proporsi tepung kulit rajungan 10%), dan D (proporsi tepung kulit rajungan 15%). Data pertumbuhan, SR dan FCR dianalisis dengan uji ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan tanpa penambahan tepung kulit rajungan (A) memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan ikan kakap merah dengan pertumbuhan mutlak 52,2 gram dan pertumbuhan harian 1,04 gram/hari, serta rasio konversi pakan 2,49. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup terbaik didapat pada perlakuan dengan penambahan tepung kulit rajungan sebanyak 15% dimana tingkat kelangsungan hidupnya 97%. Kata kunci : ikan kakap merah, tepung kulit rajungan, pertumbuhan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup ABSTRACT Red snapper is a marine fish with high economic value and is popular in the community for either local consumption or export. The high demand of the market demanded continuity of red snapper production. In fish culture, the feed is one of the main factors. The price of red snapper feed increases every year. This is caused by the use of pricey raw materials, thus to reduce the feed cost crab shell flour is an alternative source of protein and minerals. This study aimed to assess the effect of crab shell flour addition in feed to the growth and survival rate of red snapper. The study was conducted from March to April 2017 at the Center for Mariculture Development Lampung. The design of the research was a completely randomized design with four treatments and three replicates, namely A (0% proportion of crab shell flour), B (5% proportion of crab shell flour), C (10% proportion of crab shell flour), and D (15% proportion of crab shell flour). Growth data, SR and FCR were analyzed using the analysis of variance continued with the LSD test. The results showed that the feed without the addition of crab shell flour (A) gave the best effect on the growth of red snapper with an absolute growth of 52,2 grams and daily growth of 1,04 grams/day, as well as 2,49 feed conversion ratio. The highest survival rate was obtained in the treatment with 15% addition of crab shell flour at 97%. Keywords: red snapper, skin crab flour, growth, feed conversion ratio, survival rate
