Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dengan siswa yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan metode ceramah dan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pengunaan metode demonstrasi terhadap hasil belajar geografi. penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 3 Metro dan objek pada penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode demonstrasi dan ceramah. teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan tes, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar geografi dan regresi linier sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar geografi antara penggunaan metode demonstrasi dan penggunaan metode ceramah. 2) ada pula pengaruh penggunaan metode demonstrasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang secara perhitungan nilai persamaan lebih besar daripada nilai konstanta, maka penggunaan metode demonstrasi akan berpengaruh jika diterapkan terhadap hasil belajar geografi. Kata Kunci : hasil belajar, metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi. abstract This research aimed to find out and analyze the difference of the result of study between students who were taught by using demonstration method and the students who were taught by using lecture method and to find out and analyze the influence the zrh use of demonstration method toward the result of studying geography. This research was quasi experimental and the design was pretest-posttest control group design. The subject of this research was the first grade students of senior high school and the object was the use of demonstration and lecture method. Data collecting technique of this research were test, questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis in this research was t-test to find out difference average of geography learning outcome and simple linier regression to findout the influence. The result of the research are: 1) There is the average’s differences of learning outcome between using the demonstration method and lecture method. 2) There are also the influence in using the demonstration method to the accounting that the value of the equation is better than the value of constanta, hence the using of demonstration method is influeced, if it is applied on the geography learning outcome.
