Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tukang gigi adalah setiap orang yang mempunyai kemampuan membuat dan memasang gigi tiruan lepasan. Perizinan dan kewenangan tukang gigi diatur dalam Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 39 Tahun 2014 tentang Pembinaan Pengawasan dan Perizinan Pekerjaan tukang gigi. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, bagaimana tanggung jawab tukang gigi dalam melakukan pelayanan kepada konsumen menurut undang-undang yang berlaku, bagaimana perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen jasa tukang gigi maupun perlindungan hukum bagi tukang gigi dalam melakukan pelayanan kesehatan dan bagaimana pengawasan Dinas Kesehatan terhadap praktik tukang gigi di Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian hukum empiris. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian bahwa, tanggung jawab tukang gigi menurut Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 39 Tahun 2014 tentang Pembinaan, Pengawasan, dan Perizinan Pekerjaan Tukang Gigi yaitu membuat dan memasang gigi tiruan lepasan sebagian atau penuh yang terbuat dari bahan heat curing acrylic, bahwa konsumen pengguna jasa tukang gigi belum terlindungi karena masih banyak masyarakat awam aturan terkait dan tukang gigi belum terlindungi oleh peraturan yang berlaku karena tidak melakukan perkerjaan sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku, dan pengawasan oleh Dinas Kesehatan terhadap praktik tukang gigi di Kota Bandar Lampung belum pernah dilakukan. Kata Kunci: Tukang Gigi, Perlindungan Hukum, Konsumen. THE LEGAL PROTECTION FOR CONSUMERS OF PROSTHODONTIST SERVICE The prosthodontist or teeth maker is anyone who has the ability to make and install removable denture. The licensing and dental authority are regulated in Minister of Health Regulation No. 39 year of 2014 concerning the Guidance, Supervision and Licensing of Dental Works. The problems of this research are formulated as follows: how is the prosthodontist responsibility in performing service to the consumers according to the applicable law, how is the legal protection of the dental service for both the consumers and the prosthodontist, and how is the supervision by the Health Department to the practice of prosthodontist in Bandar Lampung. This research applied empirical approach. The data sources consisted of primary and secondary data. The data analysis was done using qualitative data analysis. The result of the research showed that the responsibility of prosthodontist has been regulated in Minister of Health Regulation No. 39 year of 2014 concerning the Guidance, Supervision and Licensing of Dental Works which is to create and to install partial or full removable dentures made from heat curing acrylic material, while the legal protection for consumers of prosthodontist service has not been regulated because there are still a lot of people who do not know the related regulation, also, the prosthodontists have not been protected by the applicable regulations because they are not doing the work in accordance with the applicable regulations, and no supervision has ever been conducted by the Health Department to the prosthodontist service in Bandar Lampung.
