Abstrak

ABSTRAK ANALISIS SKALA USAHA, DAYA SAING DAN KEBERLANJUTAN USAHA TERNAK SAPI DI KECAMATAN PUNGGUR KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TENGAH Oleh Gama Ayu Siswandari Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis skala produksi usaha ternak sapi potong (2) daya saing usaha ternak sapi potong dan (3) keberlanjutan usaha ternak sapi potong pada peternak kelompok tani dan bukan anggota kelompok tani. Jumlah responden penelitian adalah 42 orang peternak anggota kelompok tani dan 30 orang peternak bukan anggota kelompok tani yang diambil secara sensus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara secara langsung dengan peternak dan data sekunder diperoleh dari beberapa lembaga terakit. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan dari Bulan Juni-Juli 2016. Data dianalisis regresi linier berganda menggunakan fungsi produksi Cobb Douglas, Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), desktiptif kuantitatif menggunakan skor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) usaha ternak sapi potong peternak anggota kelompok tani dan peternak bukan anggota kelompok tani berada pada skala usaha produksi tetap (constant return to scale), (2) usaha ternak sapi potong peternak anggota kelompok tani memiliki keunggulan komparatif (daya saing) sedangkan pada peternak bukan anggota kelompok tani tidak memilki keunggulan komparatif (tidak berdaya saing), (3) tingkat keberlanjutan usaha ternak pada peternak anggota kelompok tani tergolong tinggi sedangkan peternak bukan angggota kelompok tani tergolong sedang. Kata kunci : Daya saing, Sapi potong, Skala usaha ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF RETURN TO SCALE, COMPETITIVENESS AND SUSTAINABILITY BUSINESS BEEF CATTLE IN SUB-DISTRICT PUNGGUR DISTRICT OF CENTRAL LAMPUNG By Gama Ayu Siswandari This study aims to (1) analyze return to scale of beef cattle (2) the competitiveness of cattle (3) the sustainability of beef cattle business of farmer group and none of farmer group. The number of respondents is 43 farmers of farmer group members and 30 farmers of none farmer group members taken by census. The research used survey method. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with breeders and secondary data obtained from several institutions. Data were collected from June-July 2016. Data was analyzed by multiple linear regression using Cobb Douglas production function, Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), quantitative descriptive by using score. The result of the research showed that (1) the beef cattle of farmers group and none farmer group were on the scale of constant production (constant return to scale), (2) the farmers of group had a comparative advantage and the farmers of none group did not have comparative advantage, (3) the level of sustainability of business beef catle in the farmer group was high, where as in the none farmer group was classified as moderate.
