Abstrak

Kompor gasifikasi type downdraft yang pernah dibuat oleh Adiansyah (2013) terjadi masalah, salah satunya yaitu pada pembuangan abu hasil pembakarannya. Pada pembuangan abu masih sering terjadi sumbatan pada pembuangan nya karena abu dari hasil pembakaran diruang oksidasi belum merata terbakar karena masih adanya bahan baku yang terhambat oleh pipa saluran udaranya. Kelebihan pneumatic conveying adalah material yang dipindahkan dalam pipa, kemampuan memindahkan material berdebu, menghemat ruang dan kemampuan pemindahan dalam berbagai sudut dan arah, sedikit part yang bergerak, dan kemudahan dalam proses pemindahan otomatis. Berdasarkan kelebihan-kelebihan pneumatic conveying dapat mengatasi salah satu kekurangan dari alat tersebut. Proses pembuatan dilakukan di bengkel produksi yang meliputi proses pemotongan, pengelasan, pengeboran, pembubutan, penghalusan, dan pengecatan. Dengan diameter pipa 2.5 in dan diameter throat 0.75 in. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh voltase dan kecepatan udara yang terbaik adalah 5,4 m/s dengan efektifitas pemisahan sebesar 94 %. Based on the advantages of pneumatic conveying can overcome one of the drawbacks of such tools. Making process is done in the production workshop which covers the process of cutting, welding, drilling, lathing, smoothing, and painting. With a pipe diameter of 2.5 in and throat diameter of 0.75 in. Based on the results of tests performed and the voltage obtained the best air speed is 5.4 m/s with a separation of 94% effective.
