Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Akar tuba (Derris elliptica) digunakan sebagai racun untuk menangkap ikan air tawar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai konsentrasi efektif (EC50-1 Jam) dari ekstrak akar tuba dengan pelarut etanol atau pun heksan, serta mengetahui pengaruh nilai konsentrasi efektif dan lama waktu transportasi terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan mas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menentukan nilai konsentrasi efektif adalah analisis probit, sedangkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan waktu dan nilai konsentrasi efektif, setiap pelarut terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan, rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah, rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil analisis probit untuk pelarut etanol atau pun heksan berturut-turut yaitu 6,166 dan 3,72 ppm. Uji transportasi menunjukan nilai kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan 2 jam transportasi pada setiap pelarut termasuk kontrol dengan nilai rata-rata mencapai 100%, sedangkan pertumbuhan tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan pelarut heksan pada waktu transportasi 6 jam. Hasil peneitian menunjukan bahwa perbedaan waktu berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan mas. Hasil lainnya menunjukan bahwa perbedaan pelarut tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan mas. Kata kunci : akar tuba, anestesi, benih ikan mas, transportasi sistem tertutup Tuba (Derris elliptica) root was used traditionally as a poison to catch fresh water fishes. The objective of this research was to analyze an effective consentration (EC50-1 Hour) value of tuba root extracts by using ethanol solvent and hexane in turn , and also to reveal the influence both of effective consentration value and transportation period toward viability and growth of carp fish. Research method which was used to determine the effective concentration is probit analysis, whereas to determine the effect of differences of periods of transportation (2 , 4 and 6 hours) and the value of the effective concentration of each solvent on the survival and the growth of the research design used factorial analisis. The results of probit analysis for ethanol and hexane solvent were 6.166 and 3.72 ppm. Transportation test showed that the highest survival rate at treatment of transportation was in period 2 hour by the value reaching an average of 100%, meanwhile the highest growth occurred in hexane treatment on the period of transportation of 6 hours. This results also found that the differences period of transportation affected significantly to survival of carp fish but had no significant effect on the growth of carp fish. The other results showed that the variance of the solvent did not affect significantly to the survival and the growth of carp fish.
