Abstrak

The tide and recede is a phenomenon of rise and fall of water surface caused by the influence of moon and sun, where the phenomenon of sea water tide and recede moves periodically. The spectrum method is a method capable to explain the tide and recede data. This method uses FTRANS FFT program which was developed by Zakaria (2009). This computer based software is able to seek frequency, evaluate frequency values, and find out frequency amounts of tide and recede in a long period. Using this method eases explanation of tide and recede, finding out dominant components in tide and recede. The estimation results by using tide and recede data in Meneng station of Banyuwangi in East Java, the most dominant component in a period of 15 days component was S2 (principal solar) with an average of appearance 10 to 11 times annually. The estimation results of spectrum in 30 days showed that the most dominant component was K1 (luni-solar diurnal) with an average appearance of 12 times annually. The accuracy of tide and recede frequencies obtained with spectrum method in 15 days and 30 days periods were 98.57% and 98.72% respectively. Pasang surut atau pasut merupakan suatu fenomena naik turunnya permukaan air laut yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh gaya tarik benda-benda langit terutama bulan dan matahari, yang mana fenomena naik dan turunnya permukaan air laut bergerak secara periodik. Metode Spektrum merupakan metode yang bisa menguraikan komponen pasang surut dari data pasang surut. Metode ini menggunakan program FTRANS FFT yang dikembangkan oleh Zakaria (2009). Program komputer berbasis software ini bisa mencari frekuensi, mengevaluasi nilai frekuensi, dan mengetahui jumlah frekuensi pasang surut dengan periode panjang. Dengan menggunakan metode spektrum memudahkan dalam menguraikan pasang surut, mengetahui berapa komponen yang dominan dalam penguraian pasang surut. Pada hasil perhitungan spektrum yang menggunakan data pasang surut stasiun Meneng, Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur periode 15 hari komponen yang paling dominan adalah S2 (principal solar) dengan rata-rata kemunculan 10 sampai dengan 11 kali setiap tahunnya. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan spektrum periode 30 hari komponen yang paling dominan adalah K1 (luni-solar diurnal) dengan rata- rata kemunculan 12 kali setiap tahunnya. Akurasi atau ketelitian frekuensi pasang surut yang didapat dengan metode spektrum periode 15 hari adalah 98,57% dan untuk periode 30 hari adalah 98, 72%.
