Abstract
ABSTRAK ISOLASI DAN IDENTIFIKASI SENYAWA METABOLIT SEKUNDER DARI BUAH ARA ATAU TIN( Ficus racemosa) Oleh Purniawati S Tumbuhan Ficus racemosa merupakan salah satu spesies Ficus dari famili Moraceae yang dikenal dengan nama Ara atau Tin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam buah tumbuhan F. racemosa yang diperoleh dari Pekon Pehabung Kecamatan Kota Agung Timur Kabupaten Tanggamus. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi pengumpulan dan persiapan sampel kemudian ekstraksi, isolasi, dan pemurnian senyawa menggunakan metode KCV dan KK. Sedangkan struktur molekul senyawa tersebut ditentukan berdasarkan data fisika dan spektroskopi (UV-Vis dan FT-IR). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah berhasil diisolasi dua senyawa. Senyawa pertama yaitu β-sitosterol seberat 53 mg (0,011%) yang berupa kristal berbentuk jarum berwarna putih dengan titik leleh 134,8o-135,7oC. Senyawa kedua yaitu α-amiriltetrakosanoat seberat 16 mg (0,003%) yang berupa kristal berbentuk amorf berwarna putih dengan titik leleh 173,8o-175,7oC dari buah tumbuhan Ficus racemosa. Kata kunci : Stigmast-5-en-3β-ol (β-sitosterol), steroid, terpenoid,α-amiriltetrakosanoat, F. racemosa. ABSTRACT ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF SECONDARY METABOLITE FROM THE ARA OR TIN (Ficus racemosa) by Purniawati S. Ficus racemosa is one of the genus of Ficus belongs to Moraceae family, also known as Ara or Tin. This study aims to isolate and identify the secondary metabolite contained in the fruit of F. racemosa. F. racemosa fruits were obtained from Pekon Pehabung, East Kota Agung,Tanggamus. The stages of this study performed included the collection and sample preparation, then the extraction, isolation, and purification of compounds was carried out using the VLC and CC methods, while the molecular structures of the compounds were determined based on the physical data and spectroscopy (UV-Vis and FT-IR). Two compunds were successfully isolated and characterized. The first compound is β-sitosterol, with quantity of 53 mg (0.011% yield) in the form of white needle-shaped crystals with a melting point 134.8o-135.7 oC. The second compound is α-amiriltetracosanoic with the quantity of 16 mg (0.003% yield) in the form of white amorphous solid with a melting point of 173.8-175.7oC.
