Abstrak

ABSTRAK POLA PENGGUNAAN HASIL, MANFAAT, DAN FAKTOR PENYEBAB PENJUALAN KOPI PETANI KEPADA TENGKULAK DAN EKSPORTIR DI KECAMATAN PULAU PANGGUNG KABUPATEN TANGGAMUS Oleh WIDA AYU WINARNI Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai: (1) keragaan usaha tengkulak dan eksportir kopi, (2) alokasi dan pola penggunaan hasil penjualan kopi, (3) manfaat ekonomi yang diperoleh petani saat melakukan penjualan kepada tengkulak dan eksportir, dan (4) faktor penyebab yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani menjual kopi kepada tengkulak dan eksportir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua desa, yaitu Desa Gunung Megang dan Tekad, Kecamatan Pulau Panggung Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan alat analisis uji instrumen (validitas dan reliabilitas), persepsi (deskriptif kualitatif), Willingness to Pay (WTP), dan regresi multinomial logit. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 65 petani didapatkan melalui teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Dari 65 responden petani kopi, sebesar 87,7% menilai baik eksportir dan 75,4% menilai baik tengkulak, artinya petani lebih menilai baik eksportir sebagai alur penjualan kopinya. (2) Alokasi kopi petani dari 65 sampel menunjukkan bahwa 31 petani (47,69%) menjual sebagian besar kopi kepada tengkulak, 22 petani (33,85%) kepada eksportir dan 12 petani (18,46%) menjual kepada tengkulak dan eksportir, dengan jumlah rata-rata kopi untuk tengkulak 565,98 kg dan 509,83 kg untuk eksportir. Total rata-rata produksi kopi sebesar 1.108 kg per petani. (3) Manfaat ekonomi yang diperoleh ketika petani menjual kepada tengkulak sebesar Rp212.779,65 per petani dan eksportir sebesar Rp158.367,49 per petani. (4) Faktor penyebab yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani menentukan porsi penjualan ditunjukkan pada model logit 1 variabel yang berpengaruh nyata adalah pendidikan, dan pada model logit 2 variabel yang berpengaruh nyata adalah pendidikan dan pengalaman. This research was conducted in two villages, Gunung Megang and Tekad, in Pulau Panggung Sub district of Tanggamus Regency. The research used survey method with instrument test (validity and reliability), perception (qualitative description), Willingness to Pay method (WTP), and multinomial logit regression. The research samples were 65 coffee farmers obtained by a simple random sampling. The results showed that: (1) Of the 65 samples, 87.7 percent evaluated the exporters were good and 75.4 percent evaluated the middlemen as good, too; it meant that the exporters were evaluated better than middlemen for the coffee market chain. (2) The farmers sold most of his coffee to middlemen (47.69%), to the exporters (33.85%), and to both equally (18.46%); in which average amount of coffee sold to middlemen was 565.98 kg and to exporters was 509.83 kg. The total average of coffee production was 1.108 kg per farmer. (3) The economic benefits obtained by farmers when selling their coffee to middlemen was Rp212,779.65, whereas to exporter was Rp158,367.49 per farmer. (4) The influencing factors of farmers decision on determining the portion of sales could be seen by model logit 1, in which significant variable was education, whereas the significant variables in logit 2 were education and experience.
