Abstrak

Kemampuan menguasai teknologi khususnya internet sering diyakini lebih dekat dengan identitas laki-laki, sehingga pengadopsian internet oleh perempuan sering lebih rendah. Sebagai tenaga pendidik, guru laki-laki maupun guru perempuan dituntut untuk sama dalam mengadopsi internet dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Tujuan penelitian ini: 1. Mengungkapkan adopsi internet oleh guru SMK Swasta di Bandarlampung yang senjang secara digital. 2. Mengetahui bias gender pada adopsi internet oleh guru SMK Swasta di kota Bandarlampung yang senjang secara digital. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin sebanyak 119 guru di tiga SMK yaitu SMK 2 Mei, SMK Arjuna, dan SMK Dharmapala. Tipe penelitian ini termasuk pada penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan konstruk Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) yaitu persepsi kebermanfaatan internet (Perceived Usefulness/PU), persepsi kemudahan internet (Perceived Ease Of Use/PEOU), dan penggunaan internet sesungguhnya (Actual Usage). Hasil penelitian pada adopsi internet antar SMK Swasta yang senjang secara digital menunjukan perceived usefulness internet guru yang tinggi (chi hitung 1,873 < chi tabel 18,31) dan perceived ease of use internet guru yang sedang (chi hitung 14,184 < chi tabel 18,31) tidak mengakibatkan tingginya actual usage internet guru (chi hitung 60,929 > chi tabel 43,77). Penelitian pada gender guru SMK Swasta di Bandarlampung yang senjang secara digital menunjukan perceived usefulness internet terhadap gender guru yang tinggi (chi hitung 0,156 < chi tabel 11,07) dan perceived ease of use internet terhadap gender guru yang tinggi (chi hitung 1,842 < chi tabel 11,07) mengakibatkan tingginya actual usage internet terhadap gender guru (chi hitung 18,606 < chi tabel 25,00). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada bias gender pada adopsi internet oleh guru SMK Swasta di kota Bandarlampung. The aims of this research are to understand: 1.Internet adoption by private SMK teachers in Bandarlampung with digital divide. 2.Gender differences on internet adoption by private SMK teachers in Bandarlampung with digital divide. Technique sampling uses slovin sets up 119 teachers in three SMK, SMK 2 Mei, SMK Arjuna and SMK Dharmapala, with descriptive method and quantitative approach. This research uses Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) constructs which are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and actual usage of internet. The results show that internet adoption by private SMK teachers in Bandarlampung with digital divide reveals that high perceived usefulness internet of teachers (chi count 1,873 < chi table 18,31) and medium perceived ease of use internet of teachers (chi count 14,184 < chi table 18,31) does not seem affecting actual usage internet of teachers (chi count 60,929 > chi table 43,77). This also reveals that high perceived usefulness internet of gender teachers (chi count 0,156 < chi table 11,07) and medium perceived ease of use internet of gender teachers (chi count 1,842 < chi table 11,07) does seem affecting the high actual usage internet of gender teacher (chi count 18,606 > chi table 25,00). It can be concluded that there is no gender differences on internet adoption by private SMK teachers in Bandarlampung with digital divide.
