Abstract
ABSTRAK KONDISI FISIK DAN KIMIA AIR DI PEMANDIAN WAY PANAS DESA MERAK BATIN KECAMATAN NATAR KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN TAHUN 2013 Oleh MUHAMMAD RIYANTO Mata air panas alami yang berlokasi di Desa Merak Batin dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media dalam menjaga, meningkatkan, serta memulihkan kesehatan tubuh manusia. Oleh sebab itu, Pemandian Way Panas dapat menjadi alternatif alami yang dapat dipergunakan oleh masyarakat di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kondisi fisik air, 2) kondisi kimia air, dan 2) kualitas air bersih di Pemandian Way Panas, Desa Merak Batin, Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, Tahun 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskritif dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi uji laboratorium, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sementara, analisa data yang diterapkan menggunakan teknik skoring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kondisi fisik air di Pemandian Way Panas alam kondisi yang cukup baik dengan parameter air yang diukur meliputi bau, jumlah zat padat terlarut (TDS), kekeruhan, rasa, suhu, dan warna air, 2) kondisi kimia air di Pemandian Way Panas memperlihatkan hasil yang kurang baik berdasarkan perhitungan parameter pH, kesadahan, dan klorida, 3) seluruh sampel penelitian menunjukkan hasil yang relatif seragam, bahwa air di pemandian memiliki kualitas air bersih yang cukup baik, sehingga layak dipergunakan sebagai air untuk keperluan mandi berendam. ABSTRACT PHSYCAL AND CHEMICAL WATER CONDITIONS AT WAY PANAS HOT SPRING IN MERAK BATIN VILLAGE SUBDISTRICT NATAR SOUTH LAMPUNG REGENCY IN 2013 By MUHAMMAD RIYANTO Natural hot spring that is located in the Merak Batin Village can be used to maintain, improve, and recover the health of human body. Therefore, the Way Panas hot spring can be a natural alternative to be used by the people around it. This study is aimed at finding out: 1) the physical condition of the water, 2) the chemical condition of the water, 3) the quality of the water. This study used descriptive method by using laboratory testing, observation, and documentation as data collecting technique. Meanwhile, data analysis technique uses scoring technique. The results of the show that: 1) the physical condition of the water in the hot spring is in a relatively good condition by using the odor, the amount of dissolved substances (TDS), turbidity, taste, temperature, and color of water as parameters measured, 2) water chemical condition in Way Panas not in good enough result based on the score of the pH parameters, hardness, and chloride, 3) all samples show relatively the same result, that is water quality is clean enough, so that it is viable to be used for bathing purpose.
