abstrak indonesia Bandar Lampung sebagai kota yang dilalui kereta Babaranjang PT. Bukit Asam, Persero, Tbk. mendapatkan keuntungan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) yang dibayar oleh PT. BA. Namun dampak yang ditimbulkan yaitu kemacetan yang diakibatkan panjangnya gerbong kereta dan hampir semua jalan rel yang dilewati merupakan perlintasan sebidang yang mana rawan akan kecelakaan lalu lintas terlebih jika kereta api melintas pada saat jam sibuk (Peak Time). Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukan kajian optimalisasi dan penjadwalan angkutan kereta Babaranjang. Analisis optimalisasi kapasitas angkut dan penjadwalan menggunakan data-data sekunder berupa annual reports PT. BA dari tahun 2010-2013, data S. O. P 2013 angkutan batu bara. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan cara mengoptimalisasi kapasitas angkut, memeriksa kapasitas lintas jalan rel, menentukan headway maksimum, menghitung penelusuran perjalanan kereta, dan merencanakan penjadwalan dan grafik perjalanan kereta api (Gapeka). Kapasitas angkut kereta api Babaranjang dipengaruhi oleh dua variabel, yaitu jumlah gerbong dan kebutuhan frekuensi kereta. Kapasitas angkut yang paling optimal adalah rangkaian kereta api dengan jumlah gerbong 60, kapasitas angkutan 3000 ton, dan kebutuhan frekuensi kereta api sebanyak 21 perjalanan/hari. Berdasarkan penjadwalan kereta yang dilakukan didapat durasi perjalanan kereta api rata-rata 14,9 jam, waktu tunggu rata-rata 64 menit, dan waktu tunggu terpanjang kereta api selama 107 menit. Kata kunci : optimalisasi, kapasitas angkut, penjadwalan, kereta abstrak inggris Bandar Lampung as a city that crossed by Babaranjang PT . This analysis is done by optimizing the transport capacity, checking the railway line capacity, determining the maximum headway, calculating tracking train travel , and scheduling plan and chart a train trip. Babaranjang railway transport capacity is affected by two variables, they are the number of train carriages and frequency requirements. The most optimal transport capacity is using 60 of railway carriages, 3000 tons of loading capacity, and 21 trips/day of frequency needs. Based on train scheduling, average train trip duration is 14.9 hours, average waiting time is 64 minutes, and the longest waiting time train is 107 minutes.
