The purpose of this study is to analyze of factors affecting educated unemployment on the island of Sumatera. This study uses Panel Data regression analysis 2008 - 2017 with a sample of 10 provinces on the island of Sumatera. Relatively high population growth on the island of Sumatera tends to increase the number of educated unemployed if the rate of growth of employment opportunities is relatively low. The results of the estimated regression model of the study indicate that the independent variable GRDP and UMP have a statistically significant and significant effect on educated unemployment. The population was found to be insignificant and had no statistically significant effect on educated that the government on the island of Sumatera can pay more attention to improving the quality of human resources in the region in line with Sustainable development Goals. Keywords: GRDP, Panel Data, Total Population, UMP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengangguran terdidik di Pulau Sumatera. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi data panel 2008-2017 dengan jumlah sampel 10 provinsi di Pulau Sumatera. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang relatif tinggi di Pulau Sumatera cenderung meningkatkan jumlah pengangguran terdidik jika laju pertumbuhan kesempatan kerja relatif rendah. Hasil estimasi model regresi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel bebas PDRB dan UMP berpengaruh dan signifikan secara statistik terhadap pengangguran terdidik. Jumlah penduduk ditemukan tidak signifikan dan tidak berpengaruh secara statistik terhadap pengangguran terdidik. Diharapkan pemerintah di Pulau Sumatera dapat lebih memperhatikan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia di wilayah tersebut sejalan dengan Sustainable Development Goals.
