Abstrak

Rendahnya minat menulis teks ulasan siswa harus diupayakan perbaikan oleh guru. Salah satu upayanya berupa inovasi pengembangan media pembelajaran. Untuk itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran berupa film yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP di Bandarlampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) dengan tiga tahapan utama, yakni hasil studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, dan produk atau hasil pengembangan. Prosedur penelitian ini diawali dengan studi pendahuluan dengan metode survei dan penyebaran kuesioner pada tiga sekolah menengah pertama di Bandarlampung, yaitu SMPN 30 Bandarlampung, MTsN 1 Bandarlampung, dan SMP Utama 3 Bandarlampung untuk memperoleh informasi awal tentang kondisi objektif pembelajaran dan kebutuhan media pembelajaran. Langkah berikutnya mendesain dan mengembangkan produk media pembelajaran, memvalidasi, mengujicoba, merevisi, dan memproduksi. Revisi produk pengembangan dilakukan berdasarkan masukan- masukan dari setiap uji yang dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran yang layak dan siap untuk diimplementasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Media film dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan ajar menulis teks ulasan bagi siswa kelas VIII di SMP. (2) Media film layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran menulis teks ulasan sesuai dengan hasil penelitian dari guru, peserta didik, maupun para ahli menyatakan media film ini layak digunakan. (3) Media film yang dikembangkan menarik digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena mudah dipahami siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan media film ini menarik digunakan. (4) Media film terbukti mampu menciptakan belajar yang efektif ditunjukkan pada hasil uji coba luas di tiga sekolah. Perolehan nilai rata-rata prates 77,8 sedangkan nilai rata-rata pascates 86. DEVELOPMENT OF TEXTURE WRITING TECHNIQUE USING FILM IN CLASS VIII IN BANDAR LAMPUNG STUDENTS The low interested in writing student reviews texts must be seeking by teachers. One of the efforts is in the form of innovation in the development of learning media. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to produce learning media products in the form of films that are used for learning to write review texts on class VIII grade student of SMP in Bandarlampung. This study uses research and development (R & D) methods with three main stages, namely the results of preliminary studies, product development, and products or development results. The procedure of this study began with a preliminary study with survey methods and questionnaires for three juniors high schools in Bandarlampung, namely SMP Bandarlampung, Bandarlampung MTsN 1, and SMP Negeri 3 Bandarlampung to obtain initial information about the objective conditions of learning and the needs of learning media. The next steps are to design and develop learning media products, validate, test, revise, and produce. Product development revisions are carried out based on input from each test conducted to produce learning media products that are feasible and ready to be implemented. The results of the study show that (1) the film media have characteristics as a medium for accompanying textbooks that are substantive, pedagogical, and technical. (2) The developed film media be interesting to use because of its easy use, the combination of text, film and audio visual so that students understand it more easily. The results of the assessment of the teacher, students, and experts stated that this film media was directly to used. (3) The film media be feasible and ready to be implemented as a learning to write a review text in accordance with the results of the assessment of teachers, students, and experts stating that the film media be suitable for use. (4) Film media is proven to be able to create effective learning as shown in the results of extensive trials in three schools. The pretest mean score were 77.8 whiles the average score were 86.
