Background: Learning motivation is important in terms of learning, especially during tutorial discussion which is the heart of the problem based learning method. It is important for the tutorial participants to have good learning motivation so that the tutorial discussion runs effectively and in accordance with the learning objectives. There are various factors influencing learning motivation of final year students in the tutorial process at the Faculty of Medicine University of Lampung. Methods: This research used qualitative research design with phenomenology approach. The main informants in this study consisted of twenty four students from the year of 2015 who had three criteria which are gender, cumulative grade point index and place of residence, and two lectures. The data is collected by Focus Group Discussions techniques and in-depth interviews. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed by thematic analysis. Results: From the results of the study, obtained nine internal factors that influence motivation, namely the desire to graduate, ideas, ability to express opinions, level of intelligence, willingness, bored, laziness, lack of readiness, and low level of health conditions. On external factors, obtained eight factors influence motivation, namely facilitator, learning resources, facilities and infrastructure, learning atmosphere, scenario, parental support, academic assignment, and friend’s influence. Conclusion: This study showed that there are internal factors and external factors influencing learning motivation. Keyword: Learning motivation, medical faculty, tutorial Latar Belakang: Motivasi belajar merupakan hal yang penting dalam hal pembelajaran terutama saat diskusi tutorial yang merupakan jantung dari metode problem based learning. Penting bagi peserta tutorial untuk memiliki motivasi belajar yang baik agar diskusi tutorial berjalan efektif dan sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. terdapat berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam proses tutorial di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Informan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dari angkatan 2015 sebanyak dua puluh empat informan yang memiliki tiga kriteria yaitu: gender, indeks prestasi kumulatif, dan tempat tinggal serta dua dosen. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan wawancara mendalam. Setelah didapatkan data penelitian, data di analisis dengan cara analisis tematik. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan sembilan faktor internal yang mempengaruhi motivasi yaitu keinginan untuk segera lulus, cita-cita, kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat, tingkat intelegensi, kemauan diri sendiri, bosan dan jenuh, malas, kurang kesiapan diri, dan kondisi kesehatan yang menurun. Pada faktor eksternal didapatkan delapan faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi yaitu fasilitator, bahan belajar, sarana dan prasarana, suasana belajar, skenario, dukungan orang tua, beban akademik, dan pengaruh teman. Kesimpulan: Setelah dilakukan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar.
