Negara Ratu II Village is one of the village that develed forestry plants with several types of woody plants such as white teak, gold teak, acacia, red jabon, white jabon. The existence of the private forest is expected to be able to increase carbon uptake amid the destruction of forest conditions in Lampung Province. The research objective was to determine the size of reserves and carbon uptake in private forests in Negara Ratu II Village and to know the differences in reserves and carbon uptake of 5 types of private forests in Negara Ratu II Village. This research was conducted in January 2018 in Negara Ratu II Village, Natar Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency by using the cluster sampling method to determine the sample. Biomass data collection uses destructive and non destructive methods. Estimation of biomass was carried out using the allometric equation. Measurement of carbon content using the formula from BSN (2011) biomass x 0.47. Private forests in Negara Ratu II village had carbon reserves and uptake of 1,761 tons / ha and 6462 tons / ha. Dian Afriansyah Then, private forest in the golden teak stands had a carbon reserve and absorption was significantly or highest (135.97 tons / ha; 499.0 tons / ha) than to the other stand-type community forests such as white teak (44.86 tons / ha ; 164.63 tons / ha), acacia (54.13 tons / ha; 191.20 tons / ha), red jabon (51.20 tons / ha; 187.90 tons / ha), white Jabon (59.51 ton / ha; 218.40 tons / ha). Key words : Carbon stock, village of Negara Ratu II, private forest. Desa Negara Ratu II merupakan salah satu desa yang masyarakatnya mengembangkan tanaman kehutanan dengan beberapa jenis tanaman berkayu seperti jati putih, jati emas, akasia, jabon merah, jabon putih. Keberadaan hutan rakyat tersebut diharapkan mampu meningkatkan serapan karbon di tengah rusaknya kondisi hutan di Provinsi Lampung. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya cadangan dan serapan karbon pada hutan rakyat di Desa Negara Ratu II dan mengetahui perbedaan cadangan dan serapan karbon dari 5 tipe hutan rakyat di Desa Negara Ratu II. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2018 di Desa Negara Ratu II Kecamatan Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dengan menggunakan metode cluster sampling untuk menentukan sampel. Pengumpulan data biomassa menggunakan metode destruktif dan non destruktif. Pendugaan biomassa dilakukan menggunakan rumus persamaan allometrik. Pengukuran kandungan karbon menggunakan Dian Afriansyah rumus dari BSN (2011) biomassa x 0,47. Hutan rakyat di Desa Negara Ratu II memiliki cadangan dan serapan karbon 1,761 ton/ha dan 6462 ton/ha. Kemudian hutan rakyat pada tegakan jati emas memiliki cadangan dan serapan karbon yang berbeda nyata atau paling tinggi (135,97 ton/ha ; 499,0 ton/ha) dibandingkan hutan rakyat dengan tipe tegakan lainnya seperti jati putih (44,86 ton/ha ; 164,63 ton/ha), akasia (54,13 ton/ha ; 191,20 ton/ha), jabon merah (51,20 ton/ha ; 187,90 ton/ha), jabon putih (59,51 ton/ha ; 218,40 ton/ha).
