Abstrak

Currently, PV generator can be connected on grid without transformer. The system is called PV on grid transformerless. Without transformer, cost to built pv generator become cheaper. However, the system has disadvantages that is a parasitic capacitance due to losses of galvanic connection between DC and grid sides. Parasitic capacitance between ground and pv panel result in leakage current flow through the ground towards the pv system. Leakage current arises due to common mode voltage between output inverter and neutral. This research used two models of parasitic capacitance those are single capacitor and pi model. This research investigate the leakage current on different weather condition that is wet or dry condition using single capacitor model. When the panel is on wet condition, the value of parasitic capacitance will increase. Leakage current analyze by comparing the simulation result with German DIN VDE 0126-1-1 standard. There are three types of leakage current ,i.e, leakage current in dry or wet conditions using single capacitor model and those with pi model. The magnitude of leakage current in wet condition (75,8 mA) is ten times of that in dry condition (7,52 mA). The magnitude of leakage current using single capacitor model is nearly similar to that using pi model (7,045 mA). All magnitude of leakage current are very safe according to the standard. The usage of either pi or single capacitor models are not significantly affect the magnitude of leakage current for PV generator with capacity below 5 (five) kW. Sistem ini disebut PLTS on grid transformerless.
