Abstract
Southwest Sumba Regency is one of the islands located in the Banda arc area. The distance of Sumba Island which is very close to the subduction area in the south of Indonesia produces a lot of tectonic activity and the danger of earthquake. The composition of alluvium, coral, and thick deposits on Sumba Island makes it vulnerable to the strengthening of earthquakes.
