Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai ripitabilitas dan most probable producing ability (MPPA) pada bobot lahir (BL) dan bobot sapih (BS) kambing Saburai betina di Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Balai Pembibitan Ternak Kambing, Kabupaten Pesawaran, Provinsi Lampung. Sebanyak 25 ekor kambing Saburai betina dengan jumlah anak paritas pertama 34 ekor dan paritas kedua 33 ekor digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan cara sensus. Data BL dan BS dikoreksi terhadap jenis kelamin, tipe kelahiran, dan umur induk untuk memperoleh data bobot lahir terkoreksi (BLT) dan bobot sapih terkoreksi (BST). Data BLT dan BST digunakan untuk mengestimasi nilai ripitabilitas dan nilai MPPA. Nilai ripitabilitas diestimasi dengan metode korelasi antarkelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata BLT cempe pada paritas pertama dan kedua masing-masing 3,09±0,42 kg dan 3,28±0,54 kg, rata-rata BST pada paritas pertama dan kedua masing-masing 17,20±1,69 kg dan 17.36±2,24 kg. Nilai ripitabilitas BL yang diperoleh termasuk kategori tinggi (0,49), begitu juga nilai ripitabilitas BS termasuk kategori tinggi (0,55). Nilai rata-rata MPPA BL dan BS yang diperoleh masing-masing adalah 3,19 ± 0,27 kg dan 17,28 ± 1,23 kg. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat 10 ekor (40%) induk dengan nilai MPPA BL lebih tinggi daripada MPPA rata-rata dan13 ekor (52%) induk dengan nilai MPPA BS lebih tinggi daripada MPPA rata-rata. Kata Kunci: Kambing Saburai, Bobot lahir, Bobot sapih, Ripitabilitas, Nilai MPPA This research aims to estimate repeatability and Most Probable Producing Ability (MPPA) of Brith Weight (BW) and Weaning Weight (WW) of Saburai does in Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Daerah Balai Pembibitan Ternak Kambing, Gedongtataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency, the Province of Lampung. There was 25 dams of Saburai Goat with first parity of 34 goat kids and 33 goat kids of second parity which were used for the research. this research uses survey method by census. The data of BW and WW were corrected for sex, birth type, and dams age to obtain corrected brith weight (CBW) and corrected weaning wight (CWW). The data of BWC and WWC are used to estimate repeatability and MPPA value. Repeatability estimate is estimated using interclass correlation methods. The result showed that the average of CBW of kids on first and second parity is 3.09±0.42 kg and 3.28±0.54 kg respectively,while the average CWW on first and second parity is 17.20±1.69 kg and 17.36±2.24 kg respectively. Repeatability value of BW was 0.49 (high category) and 0.55 (high category). The average of MPPA value was BW 3.19±0.27 kg and MPPA of WW was 17.28±1.23 kg. There are 10 dams (40%) with higher MPPA than average of MPPA of BW and 13 dams (52%) with higher MPPA than average of MPPA of WW.
