Perlindungan hukum terhadap perawat selaku tenaga medis telah diatur dalam Undang-undang Nomor 38 Tahun 2014 tentang keperawatan dimana perlindungan hukum merupkan hak yang harus didapatkan oleh perawat sebagai pihak yang memberikan sebuah layanan kesehatan. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perlindungan hukum terhadap perawat selaku tenaga medis di RSUD Alimuddin Umar Liwa Kabupaten Lampung Barat, serta menganalisis faktor apa saja yang menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap perawat, karena dalam sektor kesehatan tenaga keperawatan merupakan jenis tenaga kesehatan terbesar yang dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan keperawatan selalu berhubungan langsung dengan pasien dan tenaga kesehatan lainnya, sudah semestinya yang menjadi perhatian adalah di dalam menjalankan tugasnya tak jarang perawat bersinggungan dengan masalah hukum. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan normatif dan empiris dengan data primer dan data sekunder di mana data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi lapangan dan wawancara mendalam terhadap informan dan responden yang di pilih secara purposive (bertujuan). Perlindungan hukum terhadap perawat selaku tenaga medis di RSUD Alimuddin Umar Liwa Kabupaten Lampung Barat dilihat dari aspek regulasi telah terlindungi hak-haknya sebagai tenaga medis, sebagai perawat selaku tenaga medis sudah diatur dalam Undang-Undang Keperawatan. Namun dilihat dari data responden masih ada perawat sebagai tenaga medis yang tidak terlindungi dalam segi pelayanan kesehatan karena terdapat faktor yang sangat besar bagi terlindungnya hak-hak atas perawat dalam menjalankan tugasnya yakni pemahaman dan kesadaran akan hukum yang berlaku. Jumlah perawat yang hak nya tidak terlidungi 20% dari jumlah perawat yang ada di RSUD Alimuddin Umar, ada beberapa faktor yang menjadi penghambat terhadap perlindungan hukum yakni tingkat kesadaran hukum masyarakat yang masih rendah serta kurangnya komunikasi terhadap tenaga medis yang ada. Sedangkan faktor yang mendukung ialah perawat memegang teguh hak-hak dan kewajibannya selaku tenaga medis dengan melaksanakan tugasnya sesuai dengan Standar Oprasional Prosedur yang dimiliki. The main purpose of this study was to analyze the legal protection of nurses as medical personnel at Alimuddin Umar Liwa Hospital in West Lampung Regency, and analyze what factors were obstacles in implementing legal protection for nurses, because in the health sector the nursing staff was the largest type of health worker in the implementation of nursing services, it is always directly related to patients and other health workers, it should be a concern that in carrying out their duties not infrequently nurses intersect with legal issues This research was conducted with a normative and empirical approach with primary data and secondary data where the research data was obtained from the results of field observations and in-depth interviews with informants and respondents who were selected purposively. Legal protection for nurses as medical personnel at Alimuddin Umar Liwa General Hospital in West Lampung Regency viewed from the aspect of regulation has protected their rights as medical personnel, as nurses as medical personnel are regulated in the Nursing Act. However, from the respondent's data there are still nurses as medical personnel who are not protected in terms of health services because there are very large factors for protecting the rights of nurses in carrying out their duties, namely understanding and awareness of applicable laws. The number of nurses whose rights are not covered by 20% of the number of nurses in Alimuddin Umar Hospital, there are several factors that become obstacles to legal protection, namely the level of public legal awareness that is still low and the lack of communication with existing medical personnel. While the supporting factors are nurses holding fast to their rights and obligations as medical personnel by carrying out their duties in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure they have.
