Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan dari penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekonomi subsistensi, etika subsistensi, distribusi risiko, ekonomi moral, dan ekonomi politik terhadap motivasi pemuda dalam bertani kakao di Kecamatan Way Ratai. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pemuda di Kecamatan Way Ratai. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden yang diambil secara probability sampling menggunakan simple random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi risiko berpengaruh positif dan signifikan hal tersebut berarti dalam bertani kakao, pemuda berusaha menghindarkan diri dari risiko namun merasa tidak puas dengan hasil panen yang didapat. Variabel ekonomi moral berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, karena masyarakat Kecamatan Way Ratai masih menggunakan sistem ekonomi tradisional dan kekerabatan. Kemudian variabel ekonomi politik berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan, yang berarti pemuda memperhitungkan untung dan ruginya namun hal tersebut tidak didukung oleh tindakan karena mereka merasa keamanan hasil panen akan terancam apabila harus menerima risiko. Selanjutnya variabel ekonomi subsistensi dan etika subsistensi tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan yang berarti motivasi pemuda dalam bertani kakao memperhitungkan untung dan rugi, tidak sekadar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pokok mereka. Hasil uji simultan menyatakan bahwa ekonomi subsistensi, etika subsistensi, distribusi risiko, ekonomi moral, dan ekonomi politik secara bersama- sama berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi pemuda di KecamatanWay Ratai berarti keseluruhan variabel saling berkaitan dan dapat mempengaruhi motivasi pemuda dalam bertani kakao di Kecamatan Way Ratai. Kata kunci : ekonomi subsistensi, etika subsistensi, distribusi risiko, ekonomi moral, ekonomi politik, dan motivasi pemuda The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of motivation factors of being youth cocoa farmers, there were : subsistention economics, subsistention ethics, risk distributions, moral economics, and political economics on motivation of youth in cocoa farming in Way Ratai District. The population in this study were youth in Way Ratai District. The sample in this study were 100 respondents taken by probability sampling using simple random sampling. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the risk distributions have a positive and significant effect which mean in cocoa farming, young people tried to avoid risk but were dissatisfied with the yield obtained. Moral economics variable have a positive and significant effect, because the people of Way Ratai District still used traditional economic and kinship systems. Then the political economics variable have a positive but insignificant effect, which means young people taken into account profits and losses, but there were not supported by actions because they felt the security of the crop will be threatened if they have to accept the risk. Furthermore, subsistention economics variable doesn’t have a positive and significant effect, which means that the motivation of youth in cocoa farming taken into account profit and loss, not just to fulfill their basic needs. While the variable of subsistention ethics doesn’t have a positive and significant effect because it is closely related to the subsistention economics, namely they don’t lives within the minimum limit so that the ethics of survival doesn’t apply to the motivation of youth in cocoa farming. Simultaneous test results shows that subsistention economics, subsistention ethics, risk distributions, moral economics, and political economics together have a positive and significant effect on the motivation of youth in Way Ratai District, which means that all variables have interrelated and can be affected the motivation of youth in cocoa farming in the District Way Ratai.
