Abstrak

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan keefektifan kalimat pada naskah soal ujian akhir semester ganjil kelas X SMAN di Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah naskah soal ujian akhir semester ganjil kelas X yang meliputi tiga mata pelajaran, yaitu Bahasa Indonesia, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, dan Penjasorkes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat-kalimat yang digunakan dalam soal ujian akhir yang berjumlah 150 kalimat. Keefektifan kalimat yang diteliti meliputi kesepadanan, keparalelan, kehematan, kecermatan, kepaduan, dan kelogisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa naskah soal belum secara keseluruhan menggunakan kalimat efektif. Persentase keseluruhan kalimat efektif pada naskah soal ditemukan sebanyak 79,97%, sedangkan persentase ketidakefektifan kalimat pada naskah soal ditemukan sebanyak 20,03%. Dari keseluruhan ketidakefektifan, yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini ialah ketidaklogisan disebabkan oleh penggunaan pilihan kata yang kurang tepat untuk mengungkapkan hal yang ingin disampaikan. Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of sentence in examination text of odd semester of the tenth grade of Bandarlampung public school in 2013/2014 academic year. The source data of this research was examination text in odd semester. The examination text is divided into three subject, namely Indonesian language, civics education, and physical education. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The data of this research was sentence used in examination text. The total of examination text is 150 sentences. The category of effectiveness sentence is equivalence, parallels, frugality, accuracy, cohesion, and logical of language. The results show that the examination text has not used the effective sentences. The percentage of total effective sentence in the examination text was found 79.97 % , while the percentage of ineffective sentences was found 20.03 % . From the overall of the ineffectiveness, what has the most findings from the research is the illogics that were caused by inapropriate dictions to express things.
