Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peranan kepolisian dalam sosialisasi pencegahan ujaran kebencian dan berita hoax di wilayah hukum Resort Way Kanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan subyek penelitian yaitu masyarakat berusia minimal 17 tahun di Kelurahan Taman Asri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 726 warga dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak (10%) dari populasi yaitu 73 warga. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah angket sebagai teknik pokok sedangkan wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik penunjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan kepolisian dalam sosialisasi ujaran kebencian dan berita hoax di Kelurahan Taman Asri sudah berperan dengan baik dengan persentase sebagai berikut: penghinaan 53,5% atau 39 responden termasuk ke dalam kategori berperan, menghasut 79,5% atau 58 responden termasuk ke dalam kategori berperan, dan penyebaran berita bohong 54,8% atau 40 responden ada pada kategori cukup berperan. Kata Kunci: Kepolisian, Ujaran Kebencian, Berita Hoax The purpose of this research is to find out how the police role in the socialization of hate speech prevention and hoax news in the resort’s jurisdiction Way Kanan. The method used is a descriptive with a quantitive approach with the study subject of community of at least 17 years with a sample of 10% of the population of 73 residents. The data collection technique in this research is a poll as a staple technique of. The results showed that the role of police in the socialization of hate speech and hoax news in the village of lush garden is already well with the following percentage insults 53,5% or 39 respondents belong to the role category, inciting 79,5% or 58 respondents to the role category, and spreading the news of a lie 54,8% or 40 respondents were in the category quite a role.
