ABSTRACT THE IMPLEMENTATION TYPE OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL THINK TALK WRITE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES ON GEOGRAPHY OF CLASS XII SOCIAL STUDIES ISLAMIC KEBUMEN HIGH SCHOOL -TANGGAMUS DISTRICTACADEMIC YEAR 2018/2019 By M. EDWANSYAH RISSAL This study aims to improve the activities and geography learning outcomes of students of class XII social studies one Kebumen Islamic High School through the implementation of the cooperative learning model think talk write type. The method used is classroom action research. The research subjects were students class XII social studies one Kebumen Islamic High School Tanggamus Regency. This research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. The object of the research is the cooperative learning model think talk write type to increase the activities and student learning outcomes. Data collection is obtained through observation and tests. Data analysis using descriptive analytics. At the time of the observation first cycle the actions in the classroom learning activities amounted to 12.50 %, increased in the second cycle 53.33%, and increased in the third cycle by 75.00%. Application of the think learning write cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes this can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes of actions in the first cycle of 15.625%, increased in the second cycle that is 56.67%, and increased in the third cycle of 81.25%. The results showed that with the cooperative learning model think talk write type can increase activity and learning outcomes XII social studies one Kebumen Islamic High School Tanggamus Regency. Based on the results of the discussion of the research, it is suggested to teachers and geography teacher candidates to make variations of learning by applying the type of cooperative learning model think talk write in the classroom. Kata kunci: activites, learning outcome, TTW Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas XII IPS 1 SMA Islam Kebumen melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII IPS 1 SMA Islam Kebumen Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari satu pertemuan. Objek penelitian adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui obervasi dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif analitik. Pada saat observasi siklus I tindakan di kelas aktivitas belajar sebesar 12,50%, meningkat pada siklus II 53,33%, dan meningkat pada siklus III sebesar 75,00%. Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar tindakan pada siklus I sebesar 15,625%, meningkat pada siklus II yaitu 56,67%, dan meningkat pada siklus III yaitu 81,25%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar XII IPS 1 SMA Islam Kebumen Kabupaten Tanggamus. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan penelitian tersebut, maka disarankan kepada guru dan calon guru geografi untuk membuat variasi pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write di kelas.
