Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis: (1) potensi dan kondisi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris peserta didik kelas IX, (2) proses pengembangan, (3) karakteristik model pembelajaran discovery learning, (4) respon pengguna pembelajaran discovery learning melalui microsoft sway. Metode penelitian adalah analisis deskriptif. Penulis melakukan penelitian di UPT SMPN 34 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 kelas IX. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Desain penelitian pengembangan mengacu pada Borg and Gall yang hanya dilakukan sampai pada tahap ke-7 (tujuh). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) potensi dan kondisi berdasarkan wawancara penulis dengan wakil kepala sekolah, untuk sekolah mempunyai jaringan wifi dan mempunyai labotarium komputer yang memadai serta sumber belajar perpustakaan buku yang di gunakan belum bervariasi yakni menggunakan buku Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, (2) proses pengembangan, hasil uji validasi ahli materi mendapat skor rata-rata 3,3 (sangat baik) hasil validasi uji ahli desain dengan skor rata-rata 3,6 (sangat baik) dan validasi ahli media dengan skor rata-rata 3,9 (sangat baik), (3) karakteristik dari produk yang dikembangkan adalah model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan menggunakan microsoft sway untuk menulis teks report, (4) tanggapan/respon pengguna di lakukan pada 6 orang pendidik perwakilan dari UPT SMPN 34 Bandar Lampung terhadap produk yang dikembangkan menunjukkan persentase 88,25% (sangat baik). Kata Kunci: Discovery learning, Teks Report, Siswa SMP. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) the potential and conditions of English learning of class IX learners, (2) the development process, (3) the characteristics of the discovery learning learning learning model, (4) the user response of discovery learning learning through microsoft sway. The research method is descriptive analysis. The author conducted research at UPT SMPN 34 Bandar Lampung for the 2020/2021 school year class IX. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews and observations and then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Development research design refers to Borg and Gall which is only carried out until the 7th (seventh) stage. The results showed that: (1) the potential and conditions based on the author's interview with the deputy principal, for schools to have wifi networks and have adequate computer labotariums and the learning resources of the book library used have not varied, namely using the Book of the Ministry of Education and Culture, (2) the development process, the results of the material expert validation test scored an average of 3.3 (very good) the results of validation of the design expert test with an average score of 3.6 (very good). both) and validation of media experts with an average score of 3.9 (very good), (3) characteristics of the product developed is the discovery learning model by using microsoft sway to write report text, (4) user responses / responses were carried out on 6 representative educators from UPT SMPN 34 Bandar Lampung to the products developed showed a percentage of 88.25% (very good).
