Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pendidik memiliki kompetensi sosial rendah, orang tua kurang maksimal dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, dan pembentukan karakter peserta didik di sekolah kurang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi sosial pendidik dan peran orang tua dengan pembentukan karakter peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Gugus Dokter Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Kecamatan Metro Barat. Penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode ex post facto korelasi. Populasi berjumlah 134 orang peserta didik dan sampel berjumlah 103 orang peserta didik, dengan teknik pengambilan probability sampling. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket dengan skala Likert, yang sebelumnya diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, korelasi product moment dan multiple correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi sosial pendidik dan peran orang tua dengan pembentukan karakter peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Gugus Dokter Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Kecamatan Metro Barat. Kata kunci: kompetensi sosial pendidik, pembentukan karakter, peran orang tua   ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP OF SOCIAL COMPETENCE OF EDUCATORS AND THE ROLE OF PARENTS WITH THE CHARACTER FORMING OF CLASS V STUDENTS SD STATE OF THE GUGUS DOKTER WAHIDIN SUDIRO HUSODO METRO BARAT DISTRICT By NURMA INDRIYANI The problem in this study is that educators have low social competence, parents are less than optimal in shaping the character of students, and the formation of students' character in schools is not good. This study aims to describe and analyze the positive and significant relationship between the social competence of educators and the role of parents with the formation of the character of class V student SD state of the Gugus Dokter Wahidin Sudiro Husodo, Metro Barat District. Quantitative research uses the ex post facto correlation method. The population is 134 students and the sample is 103 students, using probability sampling technique. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire with a Likert, which was previously tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used normality test, linearity test, product moment and multiple correlation. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the social competence of educators and the role of parents with the formation of the character of class V student SD state of the Gugus Dokter Wahidin Sudiro Husodo, Metro Barat District.
