ABSTRAK STRATEGI KEPOLISIAN DALAM MENANGGULANGI KASUS PENCURIAN SEPEDA MOTOR (Studi Kasus di Polsek Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kelurahan Iringmulyo, Kota Metro Lampung) Oleh HERNI ANDANI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Strategi Kepolisian Dalam Menanggulangi Kasus Pencurian Sepeda Motor (Studi Kasus Di Polsek Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kelurahan Iringmulyo, Kota Metro Lampung). Permasalahan dalam penelitian adalah 1. Bagaimana strategi Kepolisian dalam menanggulangi kasus pencurian sepeda motor di Polsek Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kelurahan Iringmulyo, Kota Metro Lampung 2. Bagaimana efektifitas Kepolisian dalam menanggulangi kasus pencurian sepeda motor di Polsek Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kelurahan Iringmulyo, Kota Metro Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penentuan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling terdiri dari 6 informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepolisian dalam menanggulangi kasus pencurian sepeda motor di Polsek Kecamatan Metro Timur, Kelurahan Iringmulyo, Kota Metro Lampung memiliki tiga upaya di antaranya, upaya preemtif, upaya preventif dan upaya represif. Adapun efektifitas yang dilakukan oleh pihak kepolisian yang sering dilakukan yaitu pada upaya preventif berupa pelaksanaan patroli yang dilakukan setiap hari sekali guna menanggulangi kasus pencurian sepeda motor. The problems in the research are 1. How is the police strategy in tackling cases of motorcycle theft at the Polsek of East Metro District, Iringmulyo Village, Metro Lampung City 2. How is the effectiveness of the Police in tackling motorcycle theft cases at the Polsek of East Metro District, Iringmulyo Village, Metro City of Lampung . The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique consists of 6 informants. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the police strategy in tackling the case of motorcycle theft at the Polsek of East Metro District, Iringmulyo Village, Metro Lampung City had three efforts, including preemptive efforts, preventive efforts and repressive efforts. The effectiveness carried out by the police is often carried out, namely in preventive efforts in the form of carrying out patrols which are carried out every day to overcome cases of motorcycle theft.
