ABSTRAK PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM MITIGASI BENCANA TANAH LONGSOR DI KECAMATAN LIMAU KABUPATEN TANGGAMUS Oleh LUSIANA SILITONGA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam mitigasi bencana longsor dan hubungan faktor-faktor dari masyarakat dengan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat terhadap program mitigasi bencana tanah longsor di Kecamatan Limau Kabupaten Tanggamus. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi sebanyak 1.284 dan sampel sebanyak 130. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan spasial atau keruangan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan responden di Kecamatan Limau Karakteristik responden di Kecamatan Limau mayoritas atau sebagian besar berusia usia 41 – 50 tahun dengan jumlah 45 orang (34,61%), menamatkan pendidikan sampai tingkat SD sebanyak 81 orang (62,30%), dan bekerja sebagai petani sebanyak 95 orang (73,07%). Partisipasi dengan bentuk buah pikiran dalam mitigasi bencana tanah longsor yang dilakukan masyarakat di Kecamatan Limau adalah mengajarkan anak untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan, selalu bersikap waspada, dan tidak merusak bangunan penahan tanah longsor (terasering). Partisipasi dengan bentuk tenaga yang dilakukan adalah mengikuti gotong-royong pada kegiatan mitigasi bencana tanah longsor, seperti menanam pohon, membangun bronjong/ terasering, membangun saluran air, dan reboisasi. Partisipasi dengan bentuk keterampilan yang dilakukan adalah mampu menerapkan upaya penyelamatan diri dari bencana tanah longsor di Kecamatan Limau, seperti tidak melakukan aktifitas di luar rumah ketika terjadi hujan. Partisipasi dengan bentuk uang dan harta benda yang dilakukan adalah memberikan sumbangan berupa materi/ material, seperti semen, pasir, jaring besi, dan batu penahan. Hubungan antara karakteristik responden dengan partisipasi masyarakat dalam mitigasi bencana tanah longsor di Kecamatan Limau dibuktikan dari hasil uji Chi Square hitung > Chi Square tabel. Hal ini juga membuktikan bahwa hipotesis alternatif atau Ha diterima. The research method uses descriptive quantitative methods. Population as much as1,284 and a sample of 130. The data analysis technique uses a spatial or spatial approach in descriptive form. Participation in the form of skills carried out is being able to apply self-rescue efforts from landslides in Limau District, such as not doing activities outside the house when it rains. Participation in the form of money and property is to make donations in the form of materials, such as cement, sand, iron nets, and retaining stones. The relationship between respondent characteristics and community participation in landslide disaster mitigation in Limau District is proven from the results of the Chi Square test count > Chi Square table.
