Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan higher order thinking skills peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Gantiwarno. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan higher order thinking skills (HOTS) peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Gantiwarno. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design. Desain penelitian yang digunakan non- equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 39 peserta didik. Sampel penelitian adalah 20 peserta didik kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 19 peserta didik kelas IV A sebagai kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan nontes, teknik tes berupa soal pilihan jamak dan teknik nontes berupa observasi. Data tes dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan data nontes dianalisis dengan lembar observasi secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model discovery learning terhadap peningkatan higher order thinking skills peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Gantiwarno tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dengan kategori “Sedang”. Kata kunci: higher order thinking skills, discovery learning The problem of this research was the low higher order thinking skills of fourth grade students Gantiwarno Elementary School. The purpose of this research was to know the influence of the discovery learning model to improve higher order thinking skills (HOTS) of fourth grade students at SDN 1 Gantiwarno. The type of this research was experimental research with quantitative approach. The research method used was quasi eksperimental design. The research design used was non- equivalent control group design. The study population was 39 students. The sample of this research were the 20 studens of IV B class as experiment class and the 19 student of IVA class as the controlled. Test and nontest were used as the techniques of collecting the data, the test technique used multiple choice questions and nontest technique used observation. The test data were analyzed by simple linear regression and nontest data were analyzed by descriptive observation sheets. The result showed that there was significant influence on the application of discovery learning models to increase higher order thinking skills the fourth grader of SDN 1 Gantiwarno 2020/2021 Learning Period’s which the category of “Medium”.
