Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The objective of the research was to find out whether there was statistically significant improvement of the students’ speaking skills in English after the students were taught using YouTube video through online group discussion. The approach of the research was quantitative. The subjects were 25 students of class XI IPA 2 of MAN 1 Lampung Tengah in the academic year 2020/2021. Speaking tests were used to collect the data. The students’ speaking scores were compared between the pre-test and the post-test by using Paired Sample T -test with the significant level (0,000 < 0,05). The results of the research showed that there was statistically significant improvement of the students’ speaking skills between t he pre-test (61.62) and the post-test (75.58). This suggests that the use of YouTube video through online group discussion facilitates students to improve their speaking skills in English.
