This study aimed to find out the average weaning weight of Saburai goat and their standard deviations, to know the estimated heritability of weaning weight of Saburai goat, and to calculate the estimated selection response per generation on the weaning weight of Saburai goat. This research was conducted in November 2020 in Makmur II farmer, Sub district of Gisting, district of Tanggamus. The method used in this study was a survey with census data collection of the entire does of Saburai goat which have offspring. Before estimating the heritability and response value of selection, the weaning weight data was corrected first. The results of the study showed the lowest weaning weight of 90-day-old was 13.9 kg and the highest was 18.3 kg with the average weaning weight of was 16.4±0.99 kg. The estimated heritability of Saburai goat weaning weight was 0.50±0.22. The results showed that the estimated selection response in the next generation with a selection of 10% was 0.88 kg, selection of 20% was 0.69 kg, selection of 30% was 0.59 kg, selection of 40% was 0.49 kg, selection of 50% was 0.40 kg, selection of 60% was 0.32 kg, selection of 70% was 0.25 kg, selection of 80% was 0.17 kg , and the selection of 90% was 0.10 kg. The conclusion of this study is that the average weaning weight of Saburai goat is 16.4 kg with a standard deviation of 0.99 kg, the heritability estimate of the weaning weight of Saburai goats in this study is 0.50±0.22, and the higher the intensity of selection, the higher the selection response of weaning weight. Keywords : Saburai goat, corrected weaning weight, heritability, selection response, weaning weight prediction Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rata-rata bobot sapih kambing Saburai dan simpangan bakunya, mengetahui estimasi heritabilitas bobot sapih kambing Saburai, dan mengestimasi respon seleksi per generasi pada bobot sapih kambing Saburai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada November 2020 di Kelompok Tani Makmur II, Kecamatan Gisting, Kabupaten Tanggamus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu survei dengan pengambilan data secara sensus yaitu keseluruhan indukan kambing Saburai yang mempunyai anak digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sebelum dilakukan estimasi nilai heritabilitas dan respon seleksi, data bobot sapih dikoreksi terlebih dahulu. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bobot sapih umur 90 hari yang terendah yaitu 13,9 kg dan yang tertinggi yaitu 18,3 kg dengan rata-rata bobot sapih yang didapat yaitu 16,4±0,99 kg. Estimasi nilai heritabilitas bobot sapih kambing Saburai adalah sebesar 0,50±0,22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prediksi respon seleksi pada generasi berikutnya dengan seleksi sebesar 10% adalah 0,88 kg, seleksi sebesar 20% adalah 0,69 kg, seleksi sebesar 30% adalah 0,59 kg, seleksi sebesar 40% adalah 0,49 kg, seleksi sebesar 50% adalah 0,40 kg, seleksi sebesar 60% adalah 0,32 kg, seleksi sebesar 70% adalah 0,25 kg, seleksi sebesar 80% adalah 0,17 kg, dan seleksi sebesar 90% adalah 0,10 kg. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa rata-rata bobot sapih kambing Saburai sebesar 16,4±0,99 kg, heritabilitas bobot sapih kambing Saburai pada penelitian ini sebesar 0,50±0,22, dan semakin tinggi intensitas seleksi maka semakin tinggi respon seleksi bobot sapih.
