Permasalahan produktivitas ubi kayu yang masih rendah di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah diduga akibat alokasi penggunaan input faktor produksi yang belum efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis tingkat pendapatan usahatani ubi kayu, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi ubi kayu, mennganalisis efisiensi teknis dan faktor penyebab inefisiensi dan menganalisis efisiensi ekonomi usahatani ubi kayu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Terbanggi Besar dan Terusan Nunyai, Lampung Tengah. Jumlah sampel penelitian yaitu sebanyak 84 petani ubi kayu. Tingkat efisiensi usahatani ubi kayu digunakan analisis fungsi produksi stochastic frontier. Hasil penelitian diperoleh usahatani ubi kayu di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah menguntungkan untuk diusahakan dengan pendapatan usahatani ubi kayu atas biaya tunai sebesar Rp11.891.371,36/ha (R/C = 2,52 ) dan pendapatan atas biaya total sebesar Rp8.385.939,81/ha (R/C = 1,73), Variabel luas lahan, pupuk kandang, dan tenaga kerja merupakan variabel yang berpengaruh nyata signifikan terhadap produksi ubi kayu, usahatani ubi kayu cukup efisien secara teknis dengan rata-rata 0,85. Faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi teknis adalah variabel umur petani, Pendidikan, pengalaman usahatani, akses kredit, dan keanggotaan kelompok tani, dan usahatani ubi kayu cukup efisien secara ekonomi dengan rata-rata 0,83. Kata kunci : efisiensi ekonomi, efisiensi teknis, dan pendapatan usahatani The problem of low cassava productivity in Central Lampung Regency is thought to be due to the inefficient use of production factor inputs. The purpose of this research is to analyze the income level of cassava farming, analyze the factors that influence cassava production, analyze technical efficiency and factors causing inefficiency and analyze the economic efficiency of cassava farming. This research was conducted in Terbanggi Besar and Nunyai Canal Subdistricts, Central Lampung. The number of research samples was 84 cassava farmers. The efficiency level of cassava farming was used to analyze the stochastic frontier production function. The results obtained that cassava farming in Central Lampung Regency is profitable to cultivate with cassava farming income at cash costs of Rp 11.891.371,36/ha (R/C = 2,52) and income on total costs of Rp 8.385.939,81/ha. (R/C = 1,73), Variable area of land, manure, and labor are variables that have a significant effect on cassava production, cassava farming is technically efficient enough with an average of 0,85. Factors that affect technical inefficiency are the variables of farmer age, education, farming experience, access to credit, and membership of farmer groups, and cassava farming is quite economically efficient with an average of 0,83.
