ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi petani, faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat partisipasi petani dan hubungan antara tingkat partisipasi petani dengan keberhasilan program. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan pada bulan Agustus – Oktober 2021. Respondennya adalah 68 petani padi sawah yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani peserta program yang dipilih secara acak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara survei dan data dianalisis menggunakan Rank Spearman dan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi petani dalam kategori sedang. Faktor yang berhubungan signifikan dengan tingkat partisipasi petani dalam program bantuan alat dan mesin pertanian adalah tingkat pengetahuan petani tentang program, interaksi sosial, dukungan dari instansi pemerintah, dan kemudahan penggunaan alat. Faktor yang tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap partisipasi petani adalah tingkat pendapatan, kesesuaian alat, dan manfaat penggunaan alat. Rata-rata produktivitas padi sawah adalah 5,83 ton/ha. Berdasarkan hasil produksi padi sawah secara keseluruhan di Kecamatan Purbolinggo, jika dibagi menjadi tiga kategori, yaitu 45,59% petani memiliki tingkat produktivitas tinggi, 44,12% petani sedang dan 10,29% petani memiliki tingkat produktivitas rendah. Kata kunci : Alat dan mesin pertanian, partisipasi, produktivitas ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the level of farmer participation, the factors related to the level of farmer participation and the relationship between the level of farmer participation with the success of the program. This research data was collected in August – October 2021. The respondents were 68 rice farmers who were members of farmer groups participating in the program who randomly selected. This research was conducted by means of a survey and the data were analyzed by using Rank Spearman and descriptively. The results showed that the level of participation of farmers in the medium category. Factors that were significantly related to the level of farmer participation in the agricultural tools and machinery assistance program were the level of knowledge about the program, social interaction, support from government agencies, and ease of tools use. Factors that have no significant effect on farmer participation were the level of income, suitability of the tool, and the benefits of using the tool. The average productivity of lowland rice is 5.83 tons/ha. Based on the overall results of lowland rice production in Purbolinggo District, if divided into three categories, namely 45.59% of farmers have a high productivity level, 44.12% of farmers are medium and 10.29% farmers have low productivity.
