Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Bahasa Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menggambarkan, dan menjelaskan persepsi mahasiswa tentang isu Islam radikal. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Lampung dimana mahasiswa FISIP mempelajari ilmu sosial dan politik dan juga mahasiswa FISIP yang berfikir kritis dan idealis. Tipe penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan secara kualitatif. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan riset lapangan, observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa persepsi mahasiswa yang terkait dengan pemahaman isu Islam radikal dapat dikatakan hampir seragam, terdapat kesamaan pandangan dan sikap terkait dengan isu tersebut. Keempat informan yang mengungkapkan bahwa isu Islam radikal selalu identikkan dengan teroris atau penggunaan kekerasan (garis keras) dalam penerapan beberapa kaidah keagamaan. Dalam aspek ini, media massa turut ambil bagian dalam menciptakan isu Islam radikal terkait dengan teroris. Kata kunci : persepsi, islam radikal ABSTRACT Bahasa Inggris This research’s goal is to determine, describe, and explain the studens perceptions about the issue of radical islam. This research conducted on students of FISIP University of Lampung where students of FISIP University of Lampung studies social and political science and also students of FISIP University of Lampung the critical thinking and idealis. This type of research is descriptive qualitative approach. Total of informants in this research were 4 people. Data collection techniques in this research is used field research , field observation, interview, and literature. The data analysis in this research is used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it is known that student perceptions related to imderstanding the issue of radical islamic can be common views and attitudes related to this issue. The fourth informant who revealed that the issue of radical islam has always synonymous with terrorism or the use of violence ( hard line ) in the application of some religious rules. In this aspect, the mass media took part in creating radical Islam issue related to terrorist. Keywords: perception, radical islam
