Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) struktur hirarki Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting; (2) komoditas unggulan dan sentra produksi subsektor hortikultura Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting; (3) kesesuaian antara rencana induk dengan kondisi eksisting Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting terkait sarana prasarana Kawasan agropolitan; dan (4) menyusun strategi pengembangan Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting. metode analisis skalogram digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan pertama. Analisis location quotient dan shift share analysis digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan ke dua. Gap analysis digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan ke tiga dan untuk menjawab tujuan ke empat digunakan analisis SWOT, QSPM dan AHP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Struktur hierarki Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting meliputi Kecamatan Gisting menempati hierarki 1, Kecamatan Talang Padang dan Sumberejo menempati hierarki 2 serta Kecamatan Pugung, Bulok dan Gunung Alip menempati hierarki 3; (2) Kecamatan Gisting sebagai sentra produksi kubis dan alpukat. Kecamatan Talang Padang sebagai sentra produksi buncis dan alpukat. Kecamatan Sumberejo sebagai sentra produksi tomat, dan pisang. Kecamatan Pugung sebagai sentra produksi bawang daun. Kecamatan Bulok sebagai sentra produksi pisang; (3) Rata-rata tingkat kesesuaian sarana dan prasarana yang terdapat pada Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting mencapai 71,74 persen dengan nilai kesenjangan sebesar 28,26 persen; (4) Strategi prioritas yang perlu diterapkan Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting adalah meninjau ulang masterplan Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting; membuat program khusus agropolitan yang terklasifikasi dan mengarah pada keterpaduan program sebagai acuan kerja SKPD guna mendukung pengembangan Kawasan Agropolitan Gisting; Meningkatkan kerjasama dengan pihak swasta melalui pembinaan dan pemberdayaan kelompok tani dengan spesialisasi ketrampilan budidaya komoditas hortikultura ekspor maupun pengolahan hasil pertanian menuju penumbuhkembangan agroindustri komoditas hortikultura. Kata kunci : agropolitan, hierarki, komoditas unggulan, gap, strategi pengembangan  ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze (1) the hierarchical structure of the Gisting Agropolitan Region; (2) leading commodities and production centers for the horticulture sub-sector in the Gisting Agropolitan Area; (3) conformity between the master plan and the existing conditions of the Gisting Agropolitan Area related to the infrastructure of the agropolitan area; and (4) develop a strategy for developing the Gisting Agropolitan Area. The scalogram analysis method is used to answer the first objective. Location quotient analysis and shift share analysis were used to answer the second objective. Gap analysis is used to answer the third objective and to answer the fourth objective, SWOT, QSPM and AHP analysis are used. The results showed that (1) The hierarchical structure of the Gisting Agropolitan Region includes Gisting sub-districts occupying hierarchy 1, Talang Padang and Sumberejo sub-districts occupying hierarchy 2 and Pugung, Bulok and Gunung Alip sub-districts occupying hierarchy 3; (2) Gisting District as a center for cabbage and avocado production. Talang Padang District as a center for bean and avocado production. Sumberejo District as a center for tomato and banana production. Pugung District as a center for leek production. Bulok District as a center for banana production; (3) The average level of suitability of facilities and infrastructure in the Gisting Agropolitan Area reaches 71.74 percent with a gap value of 28.26 percent; (4) The priority strategy that needs to be implemented in the Gisting Agropolitan Area is to review master plan for the Gisting Agropolitan Area; create a special agropolitan program that is classified and leads to program integration as a reference for SKPD work to support the development of the Gisting Agropolitan Area; Increasing cooperation with the private sector through fostering and empowering farmer groups with specialization in cultivating skills for export horticultural commodities and processing agricultural products towards the development of horticultural commodity agroindustry.
