Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAK DAUN JAMBU BIJI MERAH (Psidium guajava Linn) SEBAGAI INSEKTISIDA Aedes aegypti DALAM SEDIAAN ANTINYAMUK BAKAR Oleh BELINDA APRIANNANTI BEAUTY Aedes aegypti adalah salah satu nyamuk yang berperan sebagai vektor penyakit demam berdarah dengue. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah meluasnya penyakit ini ialah dengan pengendalian vektor melalui pemanfaatan bioinsektisida. Jambu biji merah (Psidium guajava Linn) adalah salah satu spesies myrtaceae yang memiliki potensi bioinsektisida dengan kandungan kimia yang bersifat racun bagi nyamuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak daun jambu biji merah sebagai antinyamuk bakar terhadap Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Zoologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam pada tanggal 27 Oktober 2014 dengan metode rancangan acak lengkap sesuai standar World Health Organization Guidelines For Efficacy Testing Of Household Insecticide Products (WHOPES, 2009). Sampel penelitian ini ialah 375 ekor Aedes aegypti dewasa berusia 2─5 hari yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu 0% (kontrol), 50%, 70%, 90%, dan HIT (transfluthrin 0,03%). Setiap kelompok berisi 25 nyamuk dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian diuji statistik dengan uji one way anova dan probit. Uji one way anova menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antar kelompok (p<0,001; α=0,05). Analisis probit digunakan untuk mengetahui LD50 dan LD95 serta KT50 dan KT95. Nilai LD50 yaitu 0,499% dan LD95 yaitu 7,679%. Sedangkan KT50 dibawah 5 menit dan KT95 dibawah 30 menit. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak daun jambu biji merah efektif sebagai antinyamuk bakar terhadap Aedes aegypti. One of the method to prevent the spread of dengue fever is by using bioinsecticide as vector control. Guava ( Psidium guajava Linn ) is one of the Myrtaceae species with bioinsecticide potential that has chemical compounds with toxic effect against mosquitoes. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guava leaf extract as mosquito coil against Aedes aegypti. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Zoology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences on October 27, 2014 with a completely randomized design method according to the standard World Health Organization Guidelines For Testing Efficacy Of Household Insecticide Products (WHOPES, 2009). The study sample was 375 adult Aedes aegypti of 2─5 days old were divided into five treatment groups were 0% (control), 50%, 70%, 90%, and HIT (transfluthrin 0,03%). Each group contained 25 mosquitoes with three replication. The data obtained from the study were tested statistically by one way anova test and probit. One way anova test showed a difference between groups (p<0,001; α=0,05). Probit analysis is used to determine the LD50 and LD95 with KT50 and KT95. Value of LD50 is 0,499% and LD95 is 7,679%. While KT50 is under 5 minutes and KT95 is under 30 minutes. The conclusion of this research is guava leaf extract effective as Aedes aegypti insecticide in mosquito coil.
