Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Lampung Barat merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Lampung, Indonesia. Sebagian wilayah Lampung Barat masih berupa hutan yang merupakan habitat dari lebah madu. Madu memiliki kemampuan sebagai antibakteri terhadap beberapa bakteri salah satunya Staphylococus aureus, namun kemampuan antibakteri tersebut berbeda-beda pada setiap madu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan antibakteri madu hutan Lampung Barat terhadap Staphylococcus aureus yang dilihat dari diameter zona hambat madu yang terbentuk. Penelitian disusun secara faktorial dengan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap (RAKL) dengan dua faktor: konsentrasi madu (20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%) dan jenis madu (madu hutan yang lebahnya menghisap bunga di hutan dan yang lebahnya menghisap bunga di kebun). Tiap konsentrasi di uji secara duplo dengan lima kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan daya antibakteri madu pada konsentrasi 20% berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%, sedangkan konsentrasi 40% 60% dan 80% berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi 100%. Kedua jenis madu, baik madu hutan yang lebahnya menghisap bunga di hutan maupun yang di kebun memiliki daya antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Daya antibakteri bergantung pada tingkat konsentrasi madu tetapi tidak dipengaruhi oleh jenis madu dan tidak ditemukan interaksi diantara keduanya. West Lampung was one of the regency in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Some part of West Lampung area was still a forest that become a habitat of honey bees. Honey had activity as antibacterial agents against some bacteria species, include Staphylococcus aureus but its antibacterial activity was different depend on each honey. This research was aimed to identified antibacterial activity in West Lampung honey against Staphylococcus aureus by seeing diameter of inhibition zone that formed. This study was factorial with randomized complete block design using two factors: honey concentration (20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%) and honey type (West Lampung Honey that the bees got nectar from flower in the forest and from flower in the garden). Each concentration was tested in duplo with five repetition. The results showed the honey antibacterial activity in concentration 20% was significantly different with concentration 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, while concentration 40%, 60% and 80% was significantly different with concentration 100%. Both West Lampung honey that the bees got nectar from flower in the forest and in the garden had an antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The antibacterial activity depends on the level of honey concentration but it didn’t affected by honey type and there were no interaction between both of them.
